I keep saying the same thing, he would get to keep more of his own money too. Gbp needs canelo far more than Canelo needs theme. It’s smacks of Floyd Mayweather all over again

I think Kovalev will give Canelo a harder fight than GGG also. So I agree with Canelo that DLH should not overlook Kovalev and talking about fights of 2020.

Kovalev is not a showcase fight, he’s a guy that can hand Canelo a loss, and a really bad one...like a stoppage loss. From 168 to 175 out of the top 20 best from those two weight classes, i’d put Kovalev as a top 3 fighter. Kovalev is not a showcase fight like Steve Rolls, or a helpless smaller guy going up in weight like Kell Brook. Legit power, size, and good resume. Sure he’s soft to the body, but you gotta get close to get to his body. As we don’t know how Canelo will react if he gets tagged while trying to dig into Kovalev’s body.
Finally someone who knows boxing. Also Kov. has a better jab then GGG and a good uppercut once he gets past the jab.

Canelo is scared of losing to Golovkin and always has been. He couldn't get a legit win over him in 2 tries, despite stalling for years and using PEDs. Maybe when GGG is 40 years old, Canelo will give it another try.
This DUMB *** took ggg BOTH times by KO! That's how much this ass wipe knows about boxing. AND says Sergiy with ZERO belts EVER is better than Kovalov.

Man your a JOKE!!!! GTFOhere loser. You don't even put $$$ where you suk all that GGGood dic at.

Since the Lara fight 5 yrs ago, the biggest risk opponents Canelo has faced have been ggg and Jacobs (who ggg beat first) other than that, he's faced low level comp other than a much older and smaller Cotto. I'm not seeing a huge gap in their comp in the past 5 yrs. As far as risk, does anyone think he'd be facing Kovalev if this was the same Kovalev we saw up until through first ward fight? No chance. He minimized the risk in selecting this opponent.
Is he not a legit Champ? Remind me how many belts has Sergiy won? Or even defended?

Why do I have a feeling if it was GGG/Andrade/Charlo fighting him you would have a VERY different opinion?

We get it and already know you don't like Canelo and no matter WHO he fights you are going to BI@tch about it.

Take a pic, write it down, frame it jab jab will NEVER give Canelo props. He's a hater and can't STAND Canelo like he ***ed his mom, kicked his dog, and got his wife pregnant. And beat his dad up for having him

based on your emotional female like I rant, I'm guessing you still haven't been able to remove the so called psycho chic from your home and are back living with your mom. Sucks for you. I know you adore Canelo but if you're going to comment on my post, at least counter what ive said instead of just crying about how I don't love Canelo the way you do. Is there a huge difference in the resumes of ggg and Canelo over the past 5 yrs? Do you think canelo would've faced Kovalev if he was still the same guy that faced ward in the first fight? At this point in time, do you really think Kovalev is the biggest risk available for Canelo from 160-175? In my opinion, there are 7-8 bigger risks than Kovalev. Especially a 36 yr old version who has been stopped twice recently and was damn near stopped weeks ago. Now has to fight on a short turnaround. Answer those questions and stop weeping.

$5.5million is a fraction of what Dervyenchenko he was entitled to expect as Canelo's mandatory challenger. Canelo low balled him then relinquished his title when the low ball offer was turned down, which he knew it would be. He ducked Dervyenchenko, there is no other way of looking at it.

Kovalev is shot and looking to cash out. Canelo knows that and so does everybody else. That's why Krusher is such a massive underdog.

Canelo doesn’t need ODL or Golden Boy.
He could easily do like Mayweather and do deals on a fight by fight basis and maximize his value. He’s a loyal guy and Oscars connections helped build him up but just like Floyd and Oscar outgrew Top Rank and Arum Canelo may see the benefits of controlling his own destiny.
Oscar reportedly telling DAZN he could deliver a third GGG fight to secure his own deal with DAZN was a punk move IMO.
