Sure, but his entire legacy is tainted and how are we to know he is legitimately fighting these guys non-enhanced? I find it a bit alarming to see someone who apparently needed numerous touch up fights to move to 160 suddenly jumping from 160 to 168 then 175. He has been caught red handed using steroids, the whole excuse behind why he failed the test is laughable.

What I'm scared about most is if this goes 12 rounds and Kovalev outboxes him and doesn't get the nod. Boxing already has a bad name as it is, we don't need Canelo tarring the name anymore he's already dragged the sport through the mud enough as it is.

Yeah I know that but do you really think Canelo should be a 7:1 favorite???

No but I don't make a living off of odds making. I fact I don't bet. I think the quick turn around after the Yarde fight has a bearing on their odds. I was surprised but they are the experts.

I give him credit for going to 175 to fight Kovalev, and he did fight Jacobs this year, so no complaints there. I still think he has unfinished business at 160 though. The GGG rematch needs to happen in 2020. He should also unify with either Charlo or Andrade. Any more ventures to 168 should include Smith or Plant.

Loma and Crawford have done as much as they can despite being ducked by other top fighters.

If Spence chooses to remain at 147 without going up in weight, I don't want to hear any of the GGG haters who criticize him for staying at 160. For the record, I won't hold it against Spence if he does decide that 147 is his ideal weight, but he better clean out the division before everyone starts calling him a P4P great.

On the surface it appears that way, but there’s always some underlying circumstance or stipulation that takes away from what he does. Kovalev for instance, while still dangerous, has shown significant decline and vulnerability...and even if canelo fights him at 175 with no rehydration clause, it’s gonna be too quick a turn around for kovalev since his last fight. Not saying this is necessarily canelo’s fault or intention, but it’s a factor nonetheless. Not to mention the fielding cherrypick, avoiding ggg for 2 yrs, all the caneloweight fights and suspect peds. There’s always something with this guy.

              Face the facts.
Golvkin chased Alvarez off his holiday and
All the way to 175 to face a vulnerable Kovalev.
If the diva wanted to be great
he'd show he can dominate or stop GGG.

I agree with you. We haven't seen a superstar take on challenges like this since ODLH. It's fitting he's being promoted by the same man himself.

The odds for the Kovalev fight are very lopsided. I'm seriously considering betting a few racks on Kovalev winning. I think most casuals don't realize how tough of a fight this will be for Canelo.

Bullshit! He's taking this fight because Kovalev is now vulnerable and well beyond his physical prime and peak and also it's a convenient way for to slick a can of oil on gullible boxing fans that he is doing shit when he is really not doing shit by avoiding and ducking GGG.

what he is doing is unprecedented.

I mean Floyd screwed over JMM and Canelo

                      Pac a-sided Cotto and Margo

but Canelo is on a roll now, he's doing it to nearly everyone. If he can't force terms on you, he won't fight you because he doesn't like you anymore.
