Maybe...just maybe Joshua was extra bulky because he was about to fight a 300+lb man in Miller and basically had two camps going into the Ruiz fight.

This is just my observation, maybe the slimming down aspect will help.

The funny thing is this, we would actually have posters who would actually believe this utter crap that Fury said here. That’s the sad reality, this is the same Fury who said AJ is too muscular, and he needs to loosen those muscle, since this isn’t bodybuilding. Now he thinks AJ is making an error by trying to slimline is physic? Well Joshua wasn’t this big in 2012/2013, he ideally should be around 230/235. Not 250ish with muscle.

The rematch will be interesting, AJ has a shot at redemption and Ruiz has the opportunity to prove he may simply have AJ's number. I am picking AJ to win, as many of the great HWs showed one loss isn't the end it may simply make a fighter better and less reliant on power alone.

It is just a illusion, Anthony Joshua will weigh in at 244-247 pounds for the rematch.

I actually agree with Fury here but then he's been constantly mocking Joshua for being a bodybuilder. Typical Fury, says everything and nothing.

Joshua isn't fat. There just isn't any way to get down into the low 240s or high 230s without training down some. Ideally Joshua would just adopt a more relaxed more efficient style but I think that ship has sailed. He is what he is so far as style, something else has got to give.

AJ would be an idiot to listen to Tyson Fury.

Did you read the crap he said about AJ needs to go forward and smash Ruiz to bits? He wants AJ to lose the rematch really bad to boost his non-existent profile.

Joshua's focus should be muscle stamina, and quickness! He's not going to be Mike Tyson, because he's taller, but he has to be better with his head movement and his stamina! He doesn't need to concentrate on weight, just having the capacity to throw 3 punch combinations (at least 5) in every round for 12 rounds! If he can make Ruiz miss, and make him pay, for 12 rounds, he'll be fine! Making a HW miss a lot, is as good as hitting a HW a lot!

Oh, he’s too muscular - he needs to drop some muscle mass. He drops muscle mass. Oh, he’s too skinny, he needs to put the muscle mass on. LMAO

The man fought for 9yrs through the amateurs and pro until Wlad in 2017 between 230-242. So he’s more comfortable at weight than being 250. So he’ll be alright.

When has Fury ever said anything about AJ? He has picked AJ to lose every fight since he turned pro.
Literally no one is saying he is too skinny. The caution most are speaking of is dropping the weight for the purpose of changing style in THIS fight. Doing this against the guys Fury is fighting...sure, but against the guy who just beat you is risky. No one knows how much he has lost or if he will lose more.
