also, muscle has little to do with punching power

    better technique/stamina > a little more muscle

Fury is obviously correct... but I do take his point about trying to drastically change your style

imho, they could be doing exactly what Tyson suggested... playing to AJ's strengths... not sure

AJ should take it to Ruiz... put it on him early, and smash him up... don't let him get into the fight... and he absolutely should work the body if in the right position

this could definitely be true... they may have changed very little other than gameplan

He can lose the weight all he wants. It won't increase his punch resistance. I gave AJ a pass against being dropped by Wlad because cmon, it was f'n Wlad. Against Ruiz who is more of a beat you up volume puncher, to get rocked and dropped the way he did might mean his chin is a lil suspect. Ruiz power is probably around the average puncher in the heavyweights. Well below AJ's own power and Wilder.

What style is he changing by trying to go to his original weight? This is why I keep saying most of you aren't boxing fans and you probably just watch a boxer once and make your opinion based on that and the other crap idiots post online and on YouTube.

AJ has always been between 230-242 since he started boxing in 2008. He only added more muscle mass when he fought Wlad because Wlad is huge as well. And then tried to do it again against Pulev but ended up fighting Takam as a replacement. The only reason why he came in heavy against Ruiz is because he thought he was fighting fat big baby Miller who's over 300lbs.

AJ's natural fighting weight is very close to his weight against Parker.

Fury is just an idiot who wants AJ to lose so bad. What type of idiot would advise a boxer that just got beat by coming forward and exchanging hooks with a short guy with faster short arms to do the same thing that got him beat in the first fight again in the rematch? The ***** cokehead is an idiot.

Also, he said Tony Bellew tried to copy his style against Usyk like Tony Bellew hasn't been a backfoot boxer for most of his career. Fury is a shi..thead and a useless gay idiot.

Always amazed how AJ loses muscle mass and gains fat, when he loses weight,.
The exact opposite of a normal (natural) person. and almost impossible to do.

Normal person would be getting more ripped as they lose weight.

Sure sign of steroids and unnatural weight gain.

Are you, in fact, Andy Ruiz?? Can't think of anything Andy would like better than for Joshua to come right at him early.

No, the last thing Joshua should do is expend a lot of energy early. Two things we learned from the first fight are that Joshua can not sustain any kind of attack without his becoming exhausted and secondly, Ruiz doesn't get smashed up easily.

Andy has better than average power, he has issues running down dancers, like Parker, Josh is not that fancy.

I think the presumption is that in order for AJ to protect his chin, he needs to use his jab and his feet and thus the weight loss being preparation to change style to an outside fighter.

Its totally ok for Fury and fans to speculate. Why would anyone presume to know what is going on in Joshua's camp?

Tyson Fury for example weighed in at 256 pounds for Wilder & 263 pounds for his last fight against Schwarz 'That is a 7 pounds weight difference' in the space of one fight.

This was not a consciously planed goal, it quite simply was just a result of Tyson Fury's training camp.

I high doubt Anthony Joshua is worried or massively concerned over his weight. He has always struck me as a fighter who trains and completes his routine, then whatever weight he comes in at? That is his weight, the main priority of his training camps is to perform and meet targets efficiently.

All of this bizarre talk that he is slimming down is just a illusion created in the minds of boxing fans. Anthony Joshua will come in weighing in at 240+ pounds, 244-247 pounds in my opinion.

People need to kind of understand that these heavyweight fighters are not formula 1 racing car drivers or jockeys. They compete in a division where there is really no weight limit, naturally they are going to go up and down in weight slightly.

It is only really the fighters who don't live the life who constantly speak about their weight. Mike Tyson for the large part of his career came in between 215-222 pounds, and then in the later part of his career he started to come in slightly heavier 'Exactly the same can be said for Holyfield & Lewis' they where always consistent with their weights, but it may have varied by 6-7 pounds'.

All in all Anthony Joshua is not slimming down, he is not panicking or worried over such variables. The rematch is happening in December, no professional athlete campaigning in the heavyweight division should really be bothered with such variables at this stage in fight preparation.

'I predict Anthony Joshua will come in at 244 pounds'.

Funny, because Fury has said many times in the past that AJ needs to lose some muscle and not be so big. Now he's contradicting himself. Again. Thanks for your insightful nonsense, Tyson.
