Why do we pretend Andy Ruiz is better than Schwarz or Wallin?

Because he is. I am Fury`s fan but I can` defend him fighting club fighters. Ruiz is world class fighter who had a very close fight with Parker. I am sure Ruiz beats the most of other guys.

Hey what I thought. There’s no evidence that Ruiz is actually better than these guys, just Joshua fans and who are upset it’s being pointed out.

Ruiz's performance against Parker gives some barometer as to his ability...that being said, if Joshua finished the job in the one round where he KD Ruiz, then yeah Ruiz is probably not thought of very highly..but Ruiz recovered well and came back strong, so he has to be commended for that.

Other than Ruiz's performance against Parker, you couldn't really separate the resumes of those 3 guys though...but Ruiz showed he belonged against Parker and then solidified that against AJ...those other guys have more to prove, and it is not easy to prove that stuff on the top level.

I’m pretty sure Wallin and Schwarz could lose to Joseph Parker too

Don`t be confused. Andy Ruiz beat some this occasional gatekeepers you have to beat before moving on. I mean guys like Laikhovich ( ex world champ), Austin, Kevin Johnson, Dimitrenko. It is not a very good resume, but these are names boxing fans know. Schwarz and Wallin beat nobody but club fighters nobody knows.

I never watched the whole fight...but I remember reading the newsfeed as the fight was happening, and Ruiz certainly seemed to be performing above expectations and many felt he should have gotten the decision.

Ruiz went to Parker's hometown and essentially showed he was on the same level as Parker...that's pretty good and more so far than Schwarz or Wallin have showed...one or both of them may be good, but so far they haven't had the opportunity to show it...and when Schwarz did he didn't exactly impress against Fury.

I see your point...but to play devil's advocate...all of those 'names' Ruiz beat had pretty bad form when he faced them, and tbh the only name I recognize there is Dimitrichenko anyway...though to be fair I don't really follow any division beyond the top 10 or so guys...and somehow Wallin is ranked 4 in WBA and 12 in IBF lol...who knows what goes on with those rankings sometimes

Ruiz is the most fundamentally sound fighter in the hw division. He might also have the best chin. He’s been fighting since he was 7 years old, his comfort level in the ring is unmatched by anyone he is ever likely to meet in the division today. His body simply knows what to do, and he’s been trained by world class trainers. Andy’s boxing muscle memory goes all the way back to preadolesce and what it remembers is solid boxing technique.

Schwarz? Wallin? Give me a break.

Yep If you think he isn't better than those 2 you are definitely confused.
