Exactly how I feel. There is a whole lot worse out there. I do agree it is not PPV quality. They need like three other legit title fights on this thing, with a co-main that actually has a 50/50 outcome. Let's face it- the idea of a violent KO is why people will tune in, and at PPV prices that is not enough. Too many streaming options.
But the fight itself is still sellable. Ortiz seems to fight up or down to his level of opponents, so I expect a much better version than his last two efforts. But he is on the wrong side of his career, and Wilder will work himself into full rabid Rottweiler mode by fight night. I like Ortiz more than most and believe he will throw everything he has left at Wilder, and I will not pick him here. Wilder right around the same point- round 8 of an equally fun fight as the first.Comment

Trying to ignore the fact Haymons had to give away 5000 tickets to get under 10k in Barclays for wilder Breazeale and ignore the fact this fight won’t sell at all cuz wilder has no fans.Comment

Wilder is making 20+ million per fight??!??? Man, whatever you are on, stop immediately. Wilder has no sponsors and he fights in front of about 5k fans at his fights. If they were ****** enough to give him 20+ million, then yeah, AJ would be making 100 million per fight because he sells out soccer stadiums. You wilder fans are literally the worst and the dumbestComment

Ofcourse its imminent. Joshua is on a press tour. Wilder the clout chaser knows its time to climb on Joshua's back and chase that clout. Sad dosser.Comment

Is Ortiz even in the heavyweight top 10 anymore?
1. Ruiz Jr
2. Fury
3. Joshua
4. Wilder
5. Whyte
6. Usyk
7. Povetkin
8. Pulev
9. Miller
10. Parker
There is certainly no place for him in the top 7.
He's a 50 year old man with high blood pressure. Trash fight.Comment

Fury fight was the first one, the Breazeale fight would've been the second (Showtime dug deep to keep the fight on TV), Ortiz 2 is the next one, and if he gets through that fight (who knows what the actual details of the deal are) we may end up with a joint FOXPPV/SHOPPV/ESPNPPV event, with Wilder targeting the rest of the belts in a PPV fight as well (Anthony Joshua isn't beholden to DAZN, and neither is Ruiz Jr).

Totally agree. What has Ortiz done since he lost to Wilder, infact what had he done before that? Seems Wilder fans hold him in much higher regard than his record suggests.Comment

Because Wilder is a PPV fighter now; at least, the money needed to get a star the level of Wilder to fight is more than one should expect a broadcaster to put up for regular TV.
