You mean Wilder made almost 70% of ShowTime's budget in one fight in a fight that isn't PPV? LMAO. So, how much did Breazeale make since he's entitled to 30% of the split? And where did ShowTime get money for the fight promo and hosting the fight? What about the other fights on ShowTime this year - how did they pay for those fights? Showtime's budget for 2019 is $30million.

I thought their budget was 50 million dollars, but I would not be surprised if it was 30 million. To see the PPV fights be on Fox instead of Showtime shows how much interest that Showtime Sports has on boxing now...Two fights (Spence-Garcia, and Pac-Thurman) were on Fox PPV and Spence-Porter will also be a Fox PPV telecast. They've had one main card a month on Saturday nights, and the next one isn't until October with Shields fighting Habazin...

With that being said, I find it hard to believe that Wilder made 20 million dollars fighting Breazeale because that money would have to come mostly from Showtime because there is no PPV backend for it. That may happen again in this Ortiz rematch because there's no way that this should be PPV. Ortiz may not make it past one round.

In reference to Joshua, he's good right now. He's going to make more in the rematch with Ruiz than in the first fight. If the talk is that he gets 35 million pounds, then he will be coming off that fight in December further ahead than some have thought and makes Wilder look foolish.

Oh, and to the person that thinks that Joshua ducked Wilder, you have to be on some type of medication.

The guy is a clown. He does this every time when he sees no attention is coming his way, you have a couple of youtubers Who are probably getting more attention than him at the moment.

His name can’t hold anything, so he has to piggyback on other events, I mean look at Fury, he is doing is own thing even with the bums he is fighting, he isn’t announcing fights at the same time as others, this clown has been a champ for 4 years now, never unified once, never show any ambition to, he had five different offers to do it and turned every single one of those offers down, he even took less money as a free agent to fight on a network due to loyalty. This is what an uneducated clown looks like.

Since announcing the Ortiz fight in May Fury would have fought twice, Joshua and Ruiz would have two fights sealed. All he could do is recycle his lame “Bomb squad and one name/face” for his dumb uneducated demographics.

Would I watch his fight with Ortiz? Of course, am a boxing fan, but he just is a joke IMHO until he actually goes out there and do what we or what he promise to do (Unify the four belts).

There's no way I'm doing PPVs anymore with the current Dazn and ESPN apps , it would have to be a special fight and Ortiz isn't one of them against anyone.

And that's a lot of money if you consider the fact that, at the peak of HBO, when they used to have those weekly fights - they had the same budget. That's why I'm shocked people actually believe Wilder made $20million vs Breazeale in a non-PPV fight. It's just simple math.

I think Wilder vs Ortiz 2 is going to be on PPV. There's no way they'll put that fight on regular Fox unless Wilder is willing to go back to making $2-3million and Ortiz doesn't mind his normal $500,000. That will probably be their base earnings and PPV buys would boost it up. So even if they do about 50k PPV buys - that'd be extra $1m for Wilder and about $500k for Ortiz. None of these networks are giving out big money to boxers like that. And even when Canelo fought GGG - the official purse was $5m and $4m respectively. Everything else they made came at the backend from PPV. Only DAZN throws big cheques around.

Well, since the PBC folks are holding on to that belief that Wilder made as much as they say he did for the Showtime fight in May, they can put him on Showtime and "supposedly" pay him that same amount. It may have been mentioned here before, but I doubt that Wilder could have made what is claimed under that Showtime budget when it is 25% of the annual budget that DAZN has. I talked with a trainer of a fighter that has been in talks with these networks and he was told that Showtime matched DAZN's offer to Wilder for fighting Breazeale...but that trainer and his fighter have been put on the shelf by that same network when they want certain fights to be made.

The rematch isn't PPV worthy but depending on the undercard and how itchy I am for boxing that weekend I may get it regardless.

Ortiz hasn't looked great since the Wilder fight but then again he hasn't really looked great in his wins since his defeat of Bryant Jennings. I think Ortiz has skills and some pop, which makes him dangerous. He's also older than he was before (and he was already old then). I expect Wilder to blast him out but he will be careful doing it.
