The thing with Canelo's wins, are that if it was someone else instead of Canelo who fought them at the time, would people still chalk it up as a win of any significance? Kirkland, Chavez, Angulo, Khan, Mosley-all of them names, sure, but do they really stack up as anything special, instead of just a name, if they were on someone else's resume, everything else remaining constant?

True...in a way man I can't really blame Canelo though...the first fight he knows he was fortunate to get the draw...then in the 2nd fight he probably knows he was fortunate to get the W.

If he is smart he probably realizes that if the 3rd fight is close, the powers that be very likely may shade the fight to GGG...to make it officially 1-1-1...and would likely guarantee a 4th fight, which is still probably a $100 million dollar revenue fight.

With Nelo being the cash cow...and coming off the PED story before the 2nd fight...I mean they basically had to give him that win to get his reputation back...now,they probably feel they have to give it to GGG to ensure another very lucrative fight, where everyone gets paid...maybe I am into conspiracy theories too much though lol.

Crazy that I thought that both being with DAZN would ensure that 3rd fight...but it seems like the guarantees they gave to Canelo made him a little more picky than I felt he would be...I assumed with all that money they would basically tell him who to fight...but it doesn't quite seem that easy.

I would imagine that fight has to happen though...DAZN has to want it...and I can't imagine Canelo really wanting to walk away from that big deal and trying his luck elsewhere.

the problem is, it's pretty well been proven that dazn can't force canelo's hand in terms of opposition. canelo was willing to give up his Mexican fight date and drop a belt in order to avoid the fights dazn wanted. he also said if the fans wanted a 3rd fight, which they overwhelmingly do, there'd be a 3rd fight...which he has obviously decided against. there's nothing that can force the diva into the ring unfortunately.

You can only really point out Floyd, Golovkin, Lara and Jacobs and that's it..in 50 plus fights...Everyone else on that list was either at the end of their career, brought up in weight or brought down in weight. Angulo is a notable fight is hilarious since you wouldn't put that as a quality opponent for Golovkin either. Cotto..Old...Mosley old as fk and was the equivalent of a four round fighter by the time he fought floyd which was before Canelo..Trout has one decent win his whole career. Chavez Jr the skeleton..Amir Khan brought up in weight, lopez brought up in weight..James Kirkland ROTFL..

MEANWHILE Pvssy-G has ZERO wins in 41 fights against any good fighters

I really scratch my head at those who tout that list from Nelo...but slight what GGG has done...at least GGG has been decisive and dominant in all of his fights against good but not elite opposition....good post man
