the problem is, it's pretty well been proven that dazn can't force canelo's hand in terms of opposition. canelo was willing to give up his Mexican fight date and drop a belt in order to avoid the fights dazn wanted. he also said if the fans wanted a 3rd fight, which they overwhelmingly do, there'd be a 3rd fight...which he has obviously decided against. there's nothing that can force the diva into the ring unfortunately.

I think..or hope..it was just a little bit of posturing from Canelo at first...as the A side in boxing he probably still doesn't really like being told what to do...for his ego maybe he wanted to act like he was the boss to DAZN that first time...but I just feel they are paying him too much money for him to really put up too much of a fight over fighting GGG again.

Almost like now DAZN can say - "OK Canelo, we gave you a couple fights, how about GGG next?" and I think then Canelo will feel like he is calling the shots a bit so he will have his ego fed and the fight will happen...hope so anyway

Just to stop the spread of misinformation he definitely picked Canelo over Derevychanko.

The IBF was going to grant GGG his request to fight on May 5th against vanes under the condition that immediately following the fight he would fight Derevychanko.

Under that scenario and what really happened GGG would have fought Vanes regardless first.

So it would have been impossible to call it a duck unless you truly believe Canelo is a worse option than Derevychanko.

And. The only reason GGG was in that scenario to begin with was because Canelo got caught using.
