Ward has a great resume but my complaint is his boring ass style.

Wlad and Ward been putting fans to sleep for years. Im glad they are gone.

Amateur and Pro boxing is basically two different sports.. you should stick to posting about the Illumanti in the lounge pal.
Ouch...that was as low a blow as Ward put on Krusher...

I think his performances in his fights were a little lackluster imo...any time I saw him in against anyone B level or above I never really saw great clear rounds from Andre...like I see with Loma Floyd or GGG as examples in most of their fights.

I just feel like if he fought a lot of his fights in neutral or away settings instead of all at home, he would have quite a few more losses/draws and/or DQs...when you watch an American fighter get all the breaks, as opposed to a Colombian, or Cuban, or Cameroonian.

I mean I just think overlooking the fact that he never took the real risk to fight away/neutral is a pretty big blow against him...especially considering how controversial/even a lot of his fights were.

I've watched him even against Bika and Barrera for example and it is just my opinion that if those fights were fought somewhere else and no one knew who either guy was, the scores would be very close.

People are upset with Ward for no reason. Ward had himself a excellent career, made good money and GOT OUT at the very TOP of the P4P Division so he has nothing left to prove

People are so sensitive and too emotionally attached to their current favorite fighters that when Ward, Lennox Lewis or whoever say something about these currently fighters, their fans get so f#cking emotional

Ehh...175 was super hot when he retired and still is...after how controversial those 2 Kov fights were he could have proven a lot if he had a good performance or two against one of the other top guys at 175.

Smart tough fighter but pfp stuff is opinion my friend lol...I would add that a lot of people seem to take issue with his being very protected as a fighter, and benefiting from a lot of home cooking.

One of the better fighters the game has seen in recent history. He checks off many boxes for me except for the fact that he did not fight someone who could make him work on the inside. He gets more credit from me in many ways in relation to Floyd because while Floyd was just insanely god gifted, Ward really wasnt and relied on honing in his skill and overachieving. I would not slander for example, Cam Newton if he was a multiple time SB winner, but Drew Brees doing it is more impressive. I would not slander Mike for winning six chips, but if Reggie Miller did it i would look at it as more impressive.

Ward winning the Super Six shatters that whole he is overrated argument. Plus wins over Chad, Sergey and Sullivan are nothing to laugh at

Yep, great jab, inside game was good, nice footwork, could fight outside when he wanted but could also bully and step too punchers. His all around skills were great. He isn't an all time great in my opinion but still a great fighter in his time

Got ya yeah man I just never really saw any great skills when he was in there with anyone from Bika's level to above...of all those fights I don't know if I can find five obvious rounds for him where I came away saying 'Ok great round for Andre'...thought he beat Froch 7-5 and was beating Kessler before the stoppage but that was one was controversial as well...feel like he got very generous cards outside of those fights generally.

                    Agree to disagree I suppose.

Lots of truth in this statement, He was a really dirty fighter that quite frankly lost the first Kov fight and low blowed him to hell i the rematch.
