But LMAO at anyone that thinks DAZN has 1.2 million subscribers in the US.
A rough estimate but this is how he came up with those numbers

      Except they don't, lol.

ESPN didn't put up a bag of money to sign a new content deal with Top Rank, then put up another big bag of money to buy out Top Rank's old content deal, and then put up another big bag money to then buy Top Rank's PPV business.

They did that for the UFC.

      Don't get it twisted

Tyson Fury is the cash cow of boxing. The golden goose. The PPV King.

Both growing about 7x YoY (Dazn a bit faster), and this is the most important part, its all about trajectory in this space, grow fast & acquire market share vs cash burn.
75% of DAZN's business is done internationally; less than 5% of ESPN+'s business is done internationally.

Nice try to square the circle, lol

Dazn is the better product and doesn't take fights off unlike ESPN , that has a shelf life if you want to watch replays , it's far easier to use the Dazn app with less confusion and better layout schedule interface it's not all over the place. You don't get every fight with the app on ESPN plus either most fights in UFC as well are on ppv the better fights.

Am I missing something, he estimated 586,667 worldwide subs when dazn have said they have over 4 million and had over 1 million watching fights at one time, why should anything after that be considered?

It appears he is just taking one guess (the $8.8M) then diving it by another guess ($15), they allocating that to a third guess (US share 27%).

He comes up with an answer that is obviously wrong based on reported numbers. If he thinks $15 is the right amount to use, then dazn would be at $60M per month globally based on their actual reported numbers, if the 27% US share is correct then that would be $16.2M a month in US income.

Talk about bad assumptions. I'm not saying any of these are correct but he should have seen off the bat he was way off.

Now read the rest of the post to see why the numbers are wrong, or have you already and just ignored it as you couldn't explain the obvious issues with the numbers?

Guy's math came up with 580K worldwide subs off rough guesses, dazn has publicly stated over 4M with 1.2M watching canelo at one time, what type of moron misses that?
