ESPN+ U.S. grossed $9.3mil in July. DAZN U.S. grossed $2.2mil

People complain about being gouged and yet pay for ESPN and ESPN+ just to see all their fights. This along with PPV is 3 different ways you are being *****ed. If boxings revenue models are going to be fixed its going to take some discipline from the fans to support models like DAZN where it is one price. Though I would like to add that most most of ESPN plus subscribers are watching other sports.

DAZN is great in the short term for fans and fighters but it is bad for even the medium and long term because its a business model that can not work.

There are just not enough fight fans out there to pay these purses and have a sustainable product. The realistic market of fight fans willing to pay is 2.5 million as this is the number that Canelo did on HBO against Kirkland which is the highest number in the last 13 years. This is again is HBO so how many of these viewers subscribe only because of boxing and how many watch boxing because it was on when they get it for GoT.

There is just not this secret fan base of fans that refuse to pay 80 for a fight but will pay 20. If you will pay 20 you will pay 80.

But where did they rank in app revenue? Why you ignoring DAZN in July was one of the top sports apps people are actually paying for in the US? You do understand the difference between apps that are free and ones that aren't?

The fishing app you making fun of is a free app that gives you local maps of where to fish and free services. DAZN generated more revenue from their downloads then the fish app. It's the middle of summer with everyone in the country fishing and using a free fishing app.

Apps that required subscription vs apps that provide free content are totally different. ESPN app most people aren't paying for. Most of those downloads are people who are just accessing free ESPN news, free sport scores and free articles and have nothing to do with ESPN+ or any subscription. DAZN apps offers zero free content if you download you need to pay to use it you need a subscription to access any of their content.

The real question is what percent of downloads are paying for subscription not comparing it to apps that don't require a in app purchase to use it.

He sat on here writing novels to me & KTFO for days about how Canelo & Golden Boy weren't having problems and how Pugmire was just a Canelo hater that's why he said it. Then when it came out they were having problems he disappeared. He would log in but wouldn't post.

He claimed DAZN had over a million US subs in July. Me & KTFO kept telling him the writer was using the figures from the Canelo streaming that was released. Now we see they only made $2 mil so he was wrong again

You know dazn have more than 580K global subs, you know they made more than $2M in July in the US market, did you admit you were wrong?

You don't clean the place up by doing the exact sins you accuse others of.
