You will probably say what I said in that they will fight down the road as long as both keep winning (or losing).
Margarito is a hypocrite. He has been called out by a few fighters who would like to make their name off him and Paul Williams is the most notable of that bunch. Margarito won't give Williams the time of day for the same reasons PBF won't give him the time of day.

Everyone says Floyd has no excuse not to fight Margarito because of the $8 million offer since it's his biggest payday (not true). Well, Margarito should have no reason to decline Winky's offer which would be Margarito's payday. If he was serious at all about taking the offer, they could have tried to negotiate rather than flat out rejecting it.

I believe the main reason that Floyd won't fight Margarito is because Margarito is trying to use PBF as a stepping stone. The fight is a lose-lose situation for Floyd. If he beats the **** out of Margarito, people will just say he was overrated, hadn't beaten anyone, etc. (like the Gatti fight). Basically, the same **** Floyd fans have been saying since day one. If it's a close fight and Floyd barely wins, people will say Margarito got robbed, Floyd isn't that good, Margarito is the truth, blah blah blah. Basically, what people said after Castillo I. And if Margarito won, all hell would break loose...

How could he call Shane out before he won? The fight had been talked about before he fought Vargas. Shane obviously knew because the media asked him about fighting Floyd after the fight. And you don't think Shane would have got more $ then he got for fighting Vargas? It sounds like a very similar situation to me. Again my point is that neither one of them is ducking. You just can't come to terms with the possibility that Floyd might not be afraid of Margarito. Is it so hard to imagine that one of the most ****y athletes in the history of boxing might actually believe he could beat a fringe belt holder?

I have actually made a similar post to this several times but people who hate Floyd refuse to acknowledge this. It is a no-win situation for Floyd and a win-win situation for Margarito... of course he wants the fight

Just like Shane won't fight Floyd right now because he planned a family vacation. If I ever wanted to take exception to an excuse that would be it.

Fighting Sphinks with less money is still justifiable because fighting Sphinks would give PBF a chance to have a title in yet another weight class. It's a fight with less money but higher stature.

PBF fighting Baldomir with less money instead of Margarito can never be seen as another thing other than Pbf DUCKING Margarito at this point.

The Margarito offer has long been on the table since 2 or 3 months ago. If PBF is not ducking Margarito he could have opted to fight Margarito first, take the $8 million home then make the decission whether to fight Sphinks or Baldomir early next year. After all, he was saying that Margarito is just an easy work.
