But if Mayweather doesn't make at least 8 million fighting Baldomir, then he's going to catch a lot of heat. Let's just hope Mayweather can get Mosley to fight him in November and no worries because Floyd comes out looking like a genius and a hero.

      Lets be realstic about Margarito.

If Margarito has no mexician orgins or connections then i think it would be a different story for many people here in this forum.

take away Margarito nationalitiy and then compare him with Mayweather.

Mayweather is the best P4P boxer if not one of them. Margarito should prove himself if he wants a piece of Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather is not ducking NOBODY. But he is ducking SOMETHING, and that SOMETHING is "FAILURE", the inevitable.

I've said time and time again... an "8 million dollar offer" means jack **** comming out of a promoters mouth. We have no idea of the stipulations that Arum made, other than that the date had to be when he suggested, on his promoted card. That made it a no-go from the start. Floyd had a contract with HBO.

Floyd might not've had the contract at the time, I don't recall. However, even if he didn't, none of us know all of the facts behind this supposed deal. Arum said he offered it to Floyd, and we're just supposed to believe him? There's no way, shape, or form Floyd wouldn't take a fight with a guaranteed 8mil to him unless there was a viable reason for him not to.

Also, after fighting the likes of Hernandez, Castillo x2, Corrales, and Chop Chop... I honestly think anybody who says Mayweather is afraid of Margarito is ****ing delusional.

see that's just it. Mayweather hasn't given a good reason for not taking it yet. if there was something he didn't like about the deal, shouldn't he have said something?

Floyd hates Arum. Why respond? The contract, if there ever was one, that Arum offered Floyd was most definitely piled with bull****. Possibly a rematch clause no matter what, not a large enough ppv revenue share, deals with future fights, etc.

Margarito needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He got out boxed by Daniel Santos two years ago. ****, that's it, he's not as good as people think. Who has he beaten to warrant a shot at any of the elite fighters? He needs to fight Judah, Baldomir, Oscar Diaz, someone like that. Then, if he can get a couple of victories over fighters of that calibre then AND ONLY THEN can he talk about Mayweather, Mosley, Hatton etc. It's a joke, if he wasn't Mexican he'd just be another WBO title holder. Margarito has done NOTHING to warrant fighting an elite level fighter.

As much as i dont like to say it, i think him being mexican has something to do with it, because im pretty sure if he was from Germany/Japan/Slovakia nobody would give a ****.

Margarito's a bigger threat to Mayweather getting that huge payday vs. DLH or Mosley than Spinks or Baldomir or a stay-busy fight. He's obviously counting on earning twice that or more against one of the two Golden Boy fighters -- because 8 mil is a lot to pass up...
