They didn't have to buy the Ruiz fight. It came with the Canelo fight. The Joshua v. Ruiz fight fell within the 30 day window. If you actually had DAZN you'd know what im talking about and you'd see how it was advertised during the Canelo fight. It was advertised towards the Mexican fan base that bought the Canelo fight.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

the issue is... how AJ reacted physically and mentally when Ruiz dropped him in round 3

Miller was running his mouth and was in AJ's head. Once he popped dirty and they picked Ruiz.

AJ not being a professional could not sike himself for Ruiz. AJ is the one with the problem

The same reason why Arum listened to Fury's trainer and ditched Rivas for Schwarz, is the reason why the scumbag Hearn should've listened to Rob's advice and not force the Ruiz issue.

Anyway, AJ has given him a task now with the rematch. If he fails to deliver, then AJ can walk away from his Matchroom contract without paying a dime because he failed to do his job.

                Fu..ck Hearn!

so, you are saying... Hearn should have protected AJ from guys who are not even ranked in the top 5?

you guys used to insist that AJ wanted to fight Wilder and Fury lol

You're an idiot. You're either feigning ignorance, dumb as a rock or just mentally impaired.

He wanted the Wilder or Fury fight. Hearn couldn't make either of the fight. And the next plan was to go to the US to draw Wilder out. The first preferred opponent to get his feet wet popped dirty. And as a thinking man, since the fight is basically a voluntary/exhibition, without nothing at stake - you don't go into a new territory picking the worst style nightmare as a replacement. And you can't keep throwing a boxer into tough fights after tough fights especially when there's nothing at stake. Boxers are humans and the need breather as well. Ali did a fu..cking European bum beating tour in his prime, for fu..ck sake. The guy also had 9 months lay off.

Why's Tyson Fury fighting guys not ranked in the top-50? And that's same guy you idiots are claiming wants to fight AJ. And why's Wilder fighting a 57-yr old man when he could easily fight Dillian Whyte?

This is my last reply to you. You're a fu..cking brickwall with an IQ lower than your shoe size. What a prick!

Ruiz didn't bring anything to the table, apart from getting a gift. And Hearn forced that fight.

It's a new terrain with a lot of pressure and no incentive. You just have to ease your fighter in, like Arum is doing with Fury albeit you do it with better opponents than Fury. But not the worst style match-up nightmare you can find on short notice. Everyone knows AJ struggles with short fighters. Fighting Wilder would've been different because there would be a lot at stake.

Even Canelo didn't go for a killer who's a terrible style match-up in his first fight on DAZN. He went for Rocky Fielding. Hearn is an idiot.
Obviously Hearn lost big. That doesn't mean he's bad for Joshua. It's because of him fast tracking his trajectory that heavyweight boxing has come back so successfully, making AJ the cash cow that he is today.
It's pretty clear the Hearn/Joshua business plan was to size out the Haymon/Wilder camp and then force the fight on their terms. Hearn exploited the big vulnerability of Haymon/Wilder.. they take every liberty possible to circumvent lucrative or substantive fights if it's outside of the PBC comfort zone. Hearn and Joshua took no liberties and made the logical competitive fights happen.
What style is exactly "good" for Joshua? Apart from his speed, there was no reason to believe Ruiz was any more dangerous than Povetkin.
Fury is fighting nobodies because nobody will fight him. Nobody who is in line for a legit title shot want to lose it in a points decision against Fury.
