    Ruiz’s contract holdout

I don’t think Brit’s understand. Americans aren’t soft like they are. If we know we’re worth more we’re going to get it instead of bending over. I know that’s the UK way but not the US way

Contract holdouts are fairly common in American sports. Heck the best RB (arguably) in the NFL is holding out right now and the season starts in a few weeks

So the American way is reneging on contracts we sign. That's not a good look for us now is it.

It’s a better look than playing that contract that is paying you a quarter of your worth and getting injured so you’ll never get that contract you were worth

Boxing isn't a union or team sport . Ruiz non compliance will come with stripping of titles either way for 9 or 90 million it wouldn't matter . Ha

They didn't take money away from Melvin Gordon when he had a **** year prior did they?
These guys have one big season and try to cash out. I don't blame them one bit but if I was an owner, I'd let him sit out. RB is one of if not the most replaceable positions in the NFL at this point.

Ruiz getting 9 million for a Joshua rematch seems fair to me but what do I know? I guess he can not fight, get taken to court, lose his titles, and sit on the shelf for 2 years waiting the lawsuit out. Sounds like a solid plan to me.

The rematch clause has nothing to do with titles being stripped.

In fact Eddie said some time ago that the rematch was intact even if Ruiz holds no belts.

Contract clauses are starting points for renegotiations. Any promoter or lawyer knows this.

9m is a disgrace, the split would roughly be 90/10. I'd hold out and would be willing to go to court if I was Andy.

What are the details of the contract?
