Contract holdouts are fairly common in American sports. Heck the best RB (arguably) in the NFL is holding out right now and the season starts in a few weeks
It’s not a contract holdout though is it, Ruiz signed a contract with a rematch clause. Now none of us know what exactly was in that contract, but it’s a certainty that money splits were in there.

Thing is, us Brits aren’t dumb and hence we read things we sign instead of crying about it afterwards when someone explains what it means. Andy can’t go crying about it now.

No, you're just confused. That article explains everything that you need to know and its pretty much standard stuff for long reigning champs defending their titles like AJ was.

Ruiz has no say in the rematch.

      The end

I'll anxiously await you copy & pasting the full terms agreed to lol.
Eddie Hearn time and time again said that they are the party that would be the one who decide on the Venue and Andy Ruiz is fixed with 9 million on the rematch.

Eddie has already stated the fight was going to be at Cardiff until Andy said he wouldn't fight there in a tweet. Andy clearly has some decision making ability/veto power if Eddie is claiming he changed his venue off of a tweet.

But more importantly wheres that contract I asked about you posting.

There is no contract that I can give, but Eddie Hearn already gave the details on the contract. And it states that Hearn and his side are the ones that decide where the venue is. With a fixed amount of 9 million.

"We wanted it in Cardiff but Andy Ruiz didn't want it so we graciously give him a neutral venue that we could all agre, we didn't have to but did it anyway."

              4:42 from then on.

"There is no new contract etc. The original contract takes care of all of that on where the venue is etc. etc. in which we decide where the fight takes place"

              5:10

Reporter: Does Andy Ruiz have a say?

"No, they don't have a say, but they did get a say because we've brought the fight to a neutral venue, and we could've just said Cardiff sorry, but they got their wish for a neutral venue congratulations to them."

see that? I Don't have the contract but Eddie Hearn can confirm it for you that they control all the cards and that Andy Ruiz has no say in it. And they're negotiations are just so that two parties could mutually agree to something, but its only one party that actually controls where the fight takes place.

Might as well end it the conversation then because I laid out all the available information that I could get on the contract, and Eddie Hearn, the man who created the contract and made Ruiz signed for it just explained in detail what the contract is.

But all we get is instead of a coherent response or in which case a video which Hearn contradicted himself, is accusing Hearn being a liar and a snake.

its pretty much a contract hold out man. The contract was signed but Ruiz is holding out for a better deal.

                    Not sure how you’re confused

I think you putting as much faith in a promoters words, any promoter not just Eddie, as you are says everything. The fact remains Eddie has NEVER discussed exact specifics. He just nods yay or nay & claims W's.

The reality will be Andy will either get paid more than 9M or the fight will happen elsewhere. Or less likely the fight won't happen.
