Comments Thread For: Joshua Never Considered A 'Warmup Fight' Before Ruiz Rematch

Anthony Joshua just doesn't see the point. The former heavyweight champion has heard all of the rationale for why he should take an interim bout before fighting Andy Ruiz Jr. again. The British superstar has been told exactly why he won't be ready, mentally or physically, for an immediate rematch not after that stunning beating he absorbed June 1 at Madison Square Garden.

This is further evidence that Joshua needs some different people around him! After Big George lost the Rumble in the Jungle, he fought Ron Lyle. After Ali loss to Frazier in 1971, he fought Jimmy Ellis. After Frazier lost to Big George, he fought Joe Bugner. After Mike Tyson lost to Buster Douglas, he fought Henry Tillman. After Pacquiao was nearly decapitated by JMM, he fought Brandon Rios. I would say Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Tyson, and Pacquiao, are all warriors!

Shut up, you don't care about AJ. You're a snake with passive aggressive nonsense.

And stop spamming "Breadman" everywhere, he doesn't need your "Breadman".

Fu..ck a warm up, we run it back straight away. We're warriors out here not melted cheese eating fat yanks. And no big guns needed like gun toting yank thugs because the knuckles are the big guns. Built differently and cut from a different cloth.

Fat cu.nt Ruiz is getting sparked out cold in the rematch. Two times!

Respect to Joshua... but I believe he gets caught again..
see, I believe Joshua always relied on his physical size advantages.... but... guys like Ruiz exist, and they are not easily intimidated. They just want to throw hands.. they can’t wait until they can throw chingasos...

Lennox Lewis lost to Rahman and fought an immediate rematch and won.

Ray Leonard lost to Duran and fought an immediate rematch and won.

Jose Louis Castillo lost to Diego Corrales and fought an immediate rematch and won.

Either Joshua can beat Ruiz or he can't. An interim fight isn't gonna help him

                  Good points.

There's so many variables that can influence whether an immediate rematch is the best option. I can see the logic for Joshua taking either route. Obviously him and his team feel that running it straight back us best for him.

Just because I'm not a fanboy doesn't mean I don't recognize talent! I can recognize a fighter with stamina problems, and weaknesses in his inside game! Breadman did a fantastic job of re-building J-Rock, which is why I made the suggestion!
