Comments Thread For: Joshua Never Considered A 'Warmup Fight' Before Ruiz Rematch

My eyes tell me that AJ has power, but he does not have stamina! His muscles are too heavy, and he doesn't have a good inside game! Due to his youth, it can be corrected, if he can get the proper training! You said you trust Rid**** Bowe! He doesn't need Rid**** Bowe, but a trainer from that tree would be excellent as well! Stop hating on Breadman! J-Rock is a better fighter than Joshua! At least Big George has always been positive about the guy and full of praises for him. He has never said anything negative about the guy. Ditto Rid**** Bowe.
Obviously anyone who watched the fight in real time due to the shock factor would say that. However, once you watch it again and analyse it properly, you’d see that Ruiz was just lucky on the night with lucky shot that hit the right place. It’s not like Ruiz punches hard because if he does, there’s no way an AJ who was gone after the 3rd rd with no legs would last another 4 rds in the ring with him. And with that, AJ was still hitting with big shots at will.Comment

He offered to help businesses wise and the kind of business Foreman knows isn't what Joshua is because he's not looking for the easy fights to get a big one. Lol
Joshua doesn't need anyone he needs to.listen to his corner next time , if he were to bring in someone be needs a Stacey McKinley type of person who is in the game everyday and can bring a real eye since he trains heavyweights since Mike Tyson, Foreman maybe hire him as the chef ?Comment

Yeah that’s what makes the immediate rematch make the most sense.
All those belts are there and Joshua gets the first crack at taking them back. If he took a tune up fight, who knows what would have happened to those belts during that time.
I can’t imagine auctioning a rematch clause would have been possible/easy if he took a tune up. What if Ruiz fought and lost and then someone else had the belts? Joshua would need to start negotiations from scratch and there would be no guarantee he’d get the chance to fight for them.
Joshua says he’s a serious boxer looking to cement a legacy. An immediate rematch is the high risk/high reward way of doing that. If he wins then he’s back to legend status. If he loses then he loses as a fighter. If he takes a tune up then he may not have the same chance to ever have all those belts again, and his legacy just fades away...Comment

Stamina at that level comes with how you pace yourself during the fight, unless you’re on PED. Maybe AJ needs to shed muscle mass because muscles consume a lot of energy especially when you have more muscles than what your natural frame is meant to be. But AJ is an athlete and he doesn’t have stamina issues, he just needs experience on how to pace himself. My eyes tell me that AJ has power, but he does not have stamina! His muscles are too heavy, and he doesn't have a good inside game! Due to his youth, it can be corrected, if he can get the proper training! You said you trust Rid**** Bowe! I’m not hating on Breadman. Anyone getting on AJ’s team is signing up to make ****load of money and he has to be up for it.Comment

Dum statement, Lewis wanted the fight right away, but was stalled Rahman tried to duck on the rematch clause, a judge cleared things up, but like I said.
It took time.Comment

If AJ wins, maybe this will get rid of that "0" persona. If he wins, AJ will still make millions with an "L" on his record and this might encourage other fighters to quit trying to preserve their "0". This could be a good thing for boxing.
