The difference being GGG was pushing fights with Canelo on every occasion and he never ducked Canelo be it in the ring or outside the ring. But it was other way around. And still is.
He CHOSE Vanes over Derevyanchenko and CHOSE Rolls over Charlo and Andrade all while pushing for a Canelo fight. By that logic we should give a pass to Charlo for choosing to fight Adams over Andrade and Andrade choosing to fight Sulecki over Charlo. All because they were pushing for a fight with Alvarez GOH

      people forget that juicy fact

G did not duck Derevy for Canelo... G ducked Derevy for VANES

      that was truly gutless, wtf?

tbh, I think that G will fight Derevy this time around... out of desperation, if nothing else

he literally has no other option..... surely DAZN will not feed him another scrub, that would reflect terribly on DAZN and Golovkin..... G already said that fighting Andrade and Charlo for the WBO/WBC made "no sense at all", but he knows that Canelo will not select him unless G wins a belt

out of Andrade/Charlo/Derevyanchenko, Derevy is the most "available" opponent

Golovkin will land on him, so he should be able to beat him

no idea why he ducked Derevy the first time around, Chickenkin should have taken that fight

        anus-clenching time for the g-strings..... ?

if G passes on that fight, it will be the SECOND time he ducked Derevy

wouldn't that be delicious, possums ?

and if G does fight Derevy, it will prove what I have ALWAYS said..... that Golovkin's (timid) matchmaking has been based on the following facts.....

FACT: boxing is all about matchmaking

FACT: matchmaking is all about style

FACT: if G can land on you, then he WILL break you down..... because nobody can absorb that level of punishment

FACT: they have avoided mover/spoilers like the plague..... NEVER facing one, despite having MANY opportunities.....

        1) most of those opportunities were absolute obvious no-brainers

        2) ALL of the guys that Golovkin avoided were better than anyone on his (timid) resume

        3) most of the excuses that they gave to pass on those fights were absurd, and are WELL-documented

Golovkin has avoided mover/spoilers and master-boxers like the plague..... focusing mainly on lower-level "tough-guy" type opponents who will be "available" throughout the fight

        rinse... wash... repeat

I don't wanna sound like no hater, I like and respect G but he should take this fight, no reason not to. Let's face it Derevyanchenko ain't Canelo, he got beaten bad by Jacobs so can't see a reason for Golovkin not to take this fight. There ain't much else happening at 160 which SUCKS considering we just got spoilt recently with big fights. If GGG doesn't fight Andrade or Derevyanchenko for titles then he's full of ****. I understand why he took the Vanes fight last year but he can't avoid the fight this time.

If Dereyevchencko accepts anything less then $7 million dollars to fight Golovkin , then he's a chump who clearly ducked CANELO.
            That doesn't make any sense.

Lets say the Canelo fight would do $80 million and the GGG would do $40 million. If one fight would clearly make much more money, why would you expect SD to demand the same amount against either?

You: GGG ducked Dervy and is scared to fight him
Also you: GGG is only fighting Dervy because Dervy is tailor made for GGG

              Lol

How you are in the Red on here is hard to believe man

The contractual power no but they can withhold money and refuse to broadcast.

It shows how much the writers are biased ggg fanbois the minute they keep repeating this bs about Ggg vacating the ibf in favor of fighting canelo. He vacated in his own words because Deryev was too dangerous & he wanted to get paid more,he also didn't face Saunders instead which was also a way to avoid being stripped. Why wasn't Jacobs too scared to face Deryevchenko before Canelo but ggg was?

These writers are still clinging to false hope in their vanquished hypejob you can hear it in every article in their cries...

I don't blame Canelo honestly...you can say its the rules, but it's not a fair rule and SD suffered for trying to play his cards like an idiot. Canelo, Pac, and Floyd all brought high income to fights... then never gave 35% splits to people afaik. People took 3-5 mil and were happy because they knew they didn't make it a "mega fight". From what's reported SD was offered 5.5 mil wanted 7 mil and Canelo's team said no. That being said if he doesn't make 7 million to fight GGG he looks like a duck and/or idiot because he's not some important figure in the division to demand 7 million.
Ok, thanks, that makes more sense now. I didn't know what the purse split was.

But pro boxing is do corrupt i'm surprised there's not a way around the "purse" amount though. Like contracts saying Canelo"s purse is $10m and the rest of his $$$ is something else!

He was nominated to fight Derev by way of being the next highest ranked by IBF. If DAZN give him the fight with andrade, he can always just tell ibf he doesn't want the fight with Derev. But he won't because, amongst other reasons, he doesn't want to fight Andrade.
