Oscar is a sham of a promoter and people on here actually thought he was smarter and better at promoting than Hearn. All he does is makes promises he can't keep aka tell DAZN Canelo will fight GGG when he doesn't want to; or try and illegally sign fighters under contract with other promoters aka Pac when he was with Arum, Davis when he is with Mayweather Promotions. He has never built anyone that wasn't built already by other promoters.
GGG sends DAZN letter to enforce contract. Canelo lawyers up

Pretty sure the Reynoso's aren't going anywhere, but he definitely needs to have a lawyer/adviser running his events for him.
In a perfect world, Alvarez would go home and find his own Richard Schaefer; respected lawyer/advisor, who could talk great in both English and Spanish, whom the players can come to respect in working on Alvarez's behalf.
Someone like Schaefer would definitely be good for him.Comment

You didn’t beat Golovkin the 2nd fight and you still have to prove your better than him...the diva thinks he is bigger than boxing and what he wants matters...no it’s what the the company who pays his wager wants and want Golovkin vs canelo a third time to finally close it.
With his actions anybody would think he beat Golovkin by shutout or koed him inside 9 rounds...it was a split decision where most people in the media had triple ggg winning it and so did I.
Divas have to be put in there place that’s for certain.
This ****er needs to be knocked out for some karmaComment

If DAZN gave a contract to GGG promising Canelo without getting Canelo to sign a contract saying he would fight GGG then that is on DAZN. lol Golden Boy can't even promise to deliver that and anyone who follows boxing knows Canelo chooses who he fights not a boxing org, not a promoter and not a network. The issue isn't Canelo's contract it's GGG's contract. They gave him large money without contracts being right and can't give him what he wants. GGG isn't a draw without Canelo and they are trying to make up for a bad contract by trying to force Canelo's hand when he's the guy actually driving subscribers for DAZN.Comment

Bottom line is whatever the contracts show. And if it isn't in the contract, shame on DAZN for acting like amateurs hoping that a third fight would take place cause hope is a check that almost always bounces. If they promised GGG a third fight and didn't get both of their signatures on a contract, then that really looks ******. Canelo is only obligated to what he promised with a signature and nothing more.Last edited by bigdunny1; 08-06-2019, 10:18 AM.Comment

so the fishnets is screwing his fellow Mexican.. who would have thought..
DAZN management is a bunch of idiots though. Almost everything they have done makes them look like they entered the business with little to none understanding of it. Bad contracts, bad promotion, bad streaming service
It's one thing to overpay the biggest draw in the sport. You have to do this if you are DAZN and new into the market and a new business model. But, why you paying Jacobs 14 million for a fight? Or 100 million for ggg to fight Canelo, let's be honest all of the value ggg creates is as a b side to Canelo he is not driving subscribers on his own. And maybe even worse of all 5 million for Derv to fight ggg.
This creates a situation that everyone is going to expect their lotto ticket to be cashed. Kov was offered 8-10 million turns it down because he wants Jacobs money. Fights are going to be impossible to make because of these demands. What happens when they want to make Canelo Spence? Spence would be ****** not to demand 30 million.
Skipper is running dazn like it is ESPN. The difference there are about 2 maybe 3 million people in the US that will pay for a fight so that is the max on who will ever subscribe to DAZN. With ESPN they where in 90 million households if they wanted it or not and all paying 6-9 dollars a month.Comment
