It's not about personal views on L's. It's about the business reality that the L's will produce.good to know that for you any loss is a END ALL type of thing... LOL
well no. A loss for Joshua who is still young is just that...the guy can make it back and still bring Subs...
Same happens with a Canelo defeat.
with GGG you will always have a show, so even in defeat he can make good fights and brings subs(way less than Joshua or Canelo)
with the WBSS I dont know...for now they have a name, but I dont see too much buzz about it other than hardcores.
With the Joshua L there is now no mega-fight with Wilder. The fight can still be big but it will be boxing big not cross over big like it could have been before Ruiz. He loses again and its no longer even boxing big it becomes just another fight. And to pile on the bad news Ruiz goes to Showtime or Fox and the new boxing big fight is on PBC platforms.
The problem with ggg is he doesn't bring the subs. After 7 years of HBO building him up, of Jordan/Nike and Apple endorsement and even after the first Canelo fight he could not sell out the Stub Hub with Groupon tickets. The rumors and whispers around his DAZN fight was that it was a bomb. His other 2 PPV were bad. He has this huge online fanbase which makes it seem like he is a megastar but reality says he only offers value as Canelo-GGG not as GGG.
Tinfoil time maybe DAZN is finally getting this and that is why they pushed ggg to demand a fight in Texas that way dazn can bribe the judges for a ggg win and they can Canelo ggg IV, V, VI, and VII.Comment

I think there is a good chance GBP h as 100 percent control over opponents, Oscar would have everything down up I think, Canelo might just have to suck it up, time will tellThe fact that Canelo is at odds with Oscar tells a different story and that Oscar overstepped his boundaries and committed to something that was never fully agreed on. Unless GBP has it in the contract that they get 100% choice in opponents, which I seriously doubt, then it looks like Oscar made assumptions that Canelo would take the third fight. Thats why Canelo and Oscar are at odds right now.
Canelo told Oscar during negotiations last year not to promise DAZN a third fight with Golovkin.
Oscar promised DAZN a third fight which he had no right to do.
DAZN is in breach of the GGG contract and as the result GGG is is bringing his lawyers into the situation.
Now Oscar will have to kiss up to Canelo and beg him for the third fight to save himself from being sued. Canelo is not responsible for anything unless he told Oscar he would take the third fight and even telling Oscar this doesnt carry the weight of a written agreement because anyone can change their mind if it isn't a signature on paper. Canelo could have easily in a passing conversation said he would consider a third fight but considering - and promising with a signature are two entirely different things.Comment

I guarantee you with Canelo's clout and the fact the he is the only fighter on the GBP roster that keeps GBP out of the red, Canelo is the one who controls who he fights. Floyd, Canelo, and Pac as well as Vitali when he was fighting are among the elite fighters who decide who they fight. The only exception is if Canelo signed to fight GGG which I doubt. Other fighters with less star power have to fight who their promoters decide on. Not those guys above.Last edited by richardt; 08-07-2019, 11:06 PM.Comment

He signed a 10 fight contract, he has to fight, if he doesn’t then danz will sue him for lost revenue and damages, that will be far more than his 300 million dollar contract, do the maths, do you think danz wouldn’t have lawyers crawling all over that contract, do you think danz would take oscars word or want to look over GBP contract with canelo, this garbage about clout means nothing in a court of law, canelo is bound by contract to GBP and danz, I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel for canelo, as they say, be careful what you wish forI guarantee you with Canelo's clout and the fact the he is the only fighter on the GBP roster that keeps GBP out of the red, Canelo is the one who controls who he fights. Floyd, Canelo, and Pac as well as Vitali when he was fighting are among the elite fighters who decide who they fight. The only exception is if Canelo signed to fight GGG which I doubt. That’s absurd. Canelo has only made $50mil so far in his two fights. DAnz would a difficult time explaining supposed lost revenue or damages if a fighter had no prior knowledge about specific fights, and industry seems to be on this page as well as Golden Boy.
Canelo would have been advised long ago to not make such statements if he actually he knew that GGG was in his contract.
DAnz would also open up a can of worms and possible conflict of interest with Matchroom as to why Andrade was not approved and even moreso if these rumors are true why is GGG upset over not fighting Canelo? That would mean that Tom Loeffler is a bit insecure with the contracts or else such a thing wouldn’t be public knowledge. That’s of course if it’s true that GGG’s lawyers are in this now? Doesn’t make sense other than many conspired or are taking advantage of Canelo’s situation.
It is very weird why GGG would be involved in complaining to not get a Canelo fight this year? Surely that’s a rumor and joke. Perhaps it’s more about GGG’s contract and perimeter that in order to get $100mil if he must have fought Canelo by now? Only a contract would motivate these actions, which, seems like everyone involved at DAZN have been taking advantage of Canelo Alvarez.
Canelo, without prior knowledge of this sting for matchmaking, could probably and easily win a case against DAZN. Probably make money out of it as well.Comment

Dazn was marketing Undisputed for Canelo after Jacobs. Those are factual timelines making it known public that they acknowledged the possibility for Andrade, so why wasn’t it approved for Sept.? Danz has explaining to do.
However Oscar was talking about Kovalev after Jacobs. If Oscar was supposed to be pushing for GGG per Danz orders strictly, then does it mean Oscar helped Canelo waste time negotiating with Kovalev but not GGG? Doesn’t make sense. If Oscar were insecure about GBP with danz then wasn’t Oscar only supposed to be pushing for GGG? Or did Oscar create Kovalev negotiations to save face?Comment
