Only good matchmaking got Cotto to MW Champ, literally beat a one legged guy for the title. Most def not elite when he fought Alvarez.
Jacobs has lost every time he stepped up in class (0-3 against top guys). Good fighter but not elite.
Avarez has a draw and 2 controversial close decisions against the 2 elite fighters he's faced.
Given the fact that he faced and beat every person on his resume except Mayweather, how exactly is his resume overrated?

Resume consists of who you have faced. He's faced the best and beat all but agruably TBE. He's fought the best of the best in his weight classes and has come out on top. He has the best resume in boxing besides Pacquiao. (Among active fighters.)

How is it overrated? Name me a non overrated resume that compares to his among active fighters? Pac had 7 losses btw. Is his resume overrated?

Saying he fought the "best of the best" is not a fact.
You have to have some facts to back up what you claim.
You're opinion is that he's got the best resume. OK
      I just don't agree. Cheers

He's had a protected career for sure,i think he lost against Lara,no way was that a SD against Mayweather and how long did they have him fight at 154/155lbs even though he rehydrated to more than 170lbs?...untill of course GGG looked less than the "all conquering boogeyman" he was uptill to his fights against Kell Brook and Jabobs.
Even then he was a given a gift decision in the 1st fight,i give him credit tho for his performance in the 2nd GGG fight.

            Easy explanation.

Overrated doesnt always mean bad especially in the context it's used. Most people thing Canelo has a very good resume, but it is overrated especially when people like you talk about it.

Please dude. Trying to say something like, "Cotto was in his prime " when he fought Canelo is the huge lie and completely discredits your own argument, hence overrated.

Cotto was not in his prime when he fought Canelo and Cotto was not a real middleweight. Cotto was a blown up welterweight who had careful matchmaking to get him that title. So much so he paid GGG step aside money so he could fight Canelo. What does that tell you?

like it or not Cotto was the lineal champion.

Yes he became lineal by beating a man with shot knees but it was a legitimate fight when Canelo fought him. It made all the sense in the world to make the fight at the time, it was mexico vs puerto rico, boxing fans wanted it.

If canelo never fought cotto, people would be crying he ducked him. Then he fights him and oh that wasnt cottos best weight, no **** sherlock.

Was Cotto in his PRIME when he fought Canelo?

                  Yes or No.

After you realize you added nothing to what I was talking about read the bold. Then tell me why Canelo vs GGG3 isnt happen when, quote yourself, boxing fans want it.

Did cotto duck GGG to fight Canelo?

Feel free to let me know. Just wondering if you're another Canelo groupie or not.

I'm not saying he didn't, I'm saying by making claim to be the best, it would look bad if he didn't.

His resume is really good & he’s 100% for sure going in the Boxing Hall of Fame but some of those wins against the top talent are really questionable. I think he should have 1 loss to GGG. The Lara fight I had a draw. I had Trout winning by 1 point. The Jacobs fight was also pretty close too. He doesn’t really have a career defining win yet since he never dominated any of his top opponents & some of them have questionable outcomes.
