All the respectable boxing historians and writers all have Pacman over Floyd.

Except for these sheep minded Floyd boys who think they know better

Pressure fighters will always have probs with ELITE level defensive fighters because if you miss punch one or two, you cant throw punch 3-4. The only kind of top defensive fighter a pressure fighter has success with is the kind who blocks punches with the "high arms defense" like W Wright because they're still hitting something which helps to keep balance and allows you to throw muti punch combo's.
Great post, and I agree Floyd probably wins that fight. Lara did a good job with Paul also but he was winding down in his career. Just wish we could have seen it when it was viable.

I mentioned it because it’s the only time I truly saw Floyd duck a fighter. He wouldn’t even mention Paul’s name. But maybe that was to keep him Paul viable for Haymon? Just not sure what happened there?

        Double Standard

People are starting to lost respect to Bread and those same people in the past, praised Bread. I remember the same happen with Max Kellerman and Teddy Atlas. This was one of the best Daily Bread Mailbag for a long time and is refreshing is long compared to the Daily Mailbag's 8 separate Saturday backs. The best part about this Daily Mailbag is about the different Boxing IQ, that one, I needed the most. Always glad that Bread is still teaching us and I feel every Saturday, I learn various lesson in boxing, like a class room.

I respect breads opinion, so when he said Floyd's last dozen fights were hand picked(great match making)...I recall Floyd's last dozen and the list looks something like this 1,Oscar dela hoya, Ricky Barton, Jmm, Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz, Miguel cotton, Robert Guerrero, Camelot Alvarez, Marcos maidana(1&2), manny pacqiao, Andre Berto
My question is this, minus the Berto fight, who in the division should Floyd have faced instead of these fighters listed, please educate me

THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why you pay NO heed to anonymous "titles"..... NAMES are the only things that count

breadman is excellent..... but once he likes a guy, that guy can do no wrong..... bread will makes excuses for him

the " like " part..... justifies the acceptance of mediocrity

bread is obviously wrong about that win being meaningful..... just like Pac's recent win over Thurman

that win is the epitome of average for a supposedly great fighter

without the ABC title rubbish..... Thurman is just a mid-level welter who has struggled since returning from injury/inactivity, no idea how bread can rave about that being a special win

when Thurman was fit, his best wins were Garcia and Porter..... but Garcia is not a force at welter, and Thurman barely sc****d past Porter who has already proved that he is not up there with the best at 147..... Porter is the best of the rest

not sure if this version of Thurman would beat Porter
Ahhhhh..... you don't think PACs recent win over Thurman is meaningful?
Well I think it is.....and it makes Floyd's win over manny better......just like fine wine

                  no, I don't

if there was only one champion, like back in the day..... Thurman would just be a mid-level welter who struggled since returning from injury/inactivity

there is literally nothing special about that win

that win did not move Manny's needle much at all, nor did it move Mayweather's needle

at the level Pac/May reside, it takes a REAL achievement to move the needle..... they are surrounded by badasses who have a LOT of credibility/accomplishments..... so no, Thurman does not make the grade

that was a good/very-good win..... not great, or even close

casual-fans go full-ret4rd before/after every Pac fight, just ignore them

FACT: thinking that beating Thurman miraculously catapulted Pacquiao anywhere..... let alone to the GOAT of all time..... is absolute ******ity

you know, Marquez..... the puzzle that Pacquiao NEVER solved ?
