Breadman has forgot more about boxing then Fisher will EVER know. He can also control his bias which fisher can not. Anyways thx Bread always love your Mailbags.Dougie of ****** and Breadman here in Boxingscene are good mailbags. The only thing better about Bread is that he answer multiple letters and gives great insights too while Doug seems to answer just 3-5 short emails. Not enough for fans who wanted to hear great opinions from the queries and emails of numbers of letter senders.
Pls post the letter sender's emails. It took them minutes and even hours to think of the best words to ask so it is also good that someone like Bread posts and answers it.Comment

Couldn’t agree!Great mailbag as usual, don’t agree on all points with bread but most of it resonates well.
However the whole Floyd being an opportunist thing is flimsy and falls on two fighters one promoter...
Manny who we now know through Roaches admission Arum was at fault for not making the fight in 2011.
And Margarito who Arum used as a marketing boogie man when Floyd bought out of that slave contract. Floyd would have destroyed Margarito. He is tailor made for a slick boxer, leaving home the bricks.
The only real boogie man was Paul Williams. That fight should have happened and his length and work rate would have made an interesting fight for Floyd.
Other than that who didn’t Floyd fight? The fans picked most his opposition and they downgraded him after. They were always coming off their best fights. And what people don’t admit is Floyd was a violent animal like Crawford until his hands kept breaking.
Just like Jordan he adapted his game and just fought smarter. That is history defining.
Wish Bread would throw out that top fighter line, after 10 years of mail bags it feels kind of floaty and based on recent performances.Comment

Great mailbag! But I disagree with the Margarito Manny fight. I also don’t respect that as an 8 division winning championship fight!Comment

Nice post!! I don't think Williams would have been as tough as most seem to think. They always bring up his reach and size, but he did not use his reach, he was a inside pressure fighter. If Quintana could outbox him along with Lara(much better) I think May wins a clear dec. Pressure fighters will always have probs with ELITE level defensive fighters because if you miss punch one or two, you cant throw punch 3-4. The only kind of top defensive fighter a pressure fighter has success with is the kind who blocks punches with the "high arms defense" like W Wright because they're still hitting something which helps to keep balance and allows you to throw muti punch combo's.Great mailbag as usual, don’t agree on all points with bread but most of it resonates well.

Williams always had huge problems with south paws like Quintana, Martinez and Lara. Floyd would have had a hard night which is why he stayed away. Floyd was very smart and knew very well which fighters to avoid and when to fight certain guys. He is the best match maker of modern times.Comment

that fight was utterly disgusting
Pac fought a mid-level welterweight BUM..... for a vacant JMW title..... at catchweight..... using 8oz gloves
THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why you pay NO heed to anonymous "titles"..... NAMES are the only things that count
breadman is excellent..... but once he likes a guy, that guy can do no wrong..... bread will makes excuses for him
the " like " part..... justifies the acceptance of mediocrity
bread is obviously wrong about that win being meaningful..... just like Pac's recent win over Thurman
that win is the epitome of average for a supposedly great fighter
without the ABC title rubbish..... Thurman is just a mid-level welter who has struggled since returning from injury/inactivity, no idea how bread can rave about that being a special win
when Thurman was fit, his best wins were Garcia and Porter..... but Garcia is not a force at welter, and Thurman barely sc****d past Porter who has already proved that he is not up there with the best at 147..... Porter is the best of the rest
not sure if this version of Thurman would beat PorterComment
