Well I mean who do you think gots more money to offer Derevyanchenko? GBP with the $365M for Canelo + $90M for GBP or GGG who's got $100M for himself + maybe $10M or something for his shows? I mean these deals are all with DAZN so I'd assume they all got the same resources so I think its just GBP who's lowballing Derevyanchenko. Maybe they are insuring Canelo gets paid, maybe they are insuring they get paid, but it definitely seems to me like GBP would have access to more money to pay Derevyanchenko...if they wanted to.

It's very clear for all to see that Golden Boy and Canelo Alvarez had no intentions of fighting Gennady Golovkin or any other voluntary challenger next; Which was why they didn't request a voluntary defense from either of the sanctioning bodies including the IBF to begin with.

He was being protected as they were looking for mandatory challengers for Canelo all along in order to keep him out of the tough fights. All of this could have been averted had a chosen an undisputed bout with Demetrius Andrade WBO title.

However, judging by his dereliction of duty as GBP matchmaker; It's obvious that Eric Gomez did not exercise his Due diligence or request a voluntary challenge on purpose in order to avoid a future bout with Triple G.

Golden Boy thought that they had more time on their hand than they had originally thought. They started negotiations too late for the IBF's mandatory challenger and now Canelo is without one of his title belts.
