The "article" literally tells you that it depended on what the ibf would've decided(committee) & that this writer is not only completely assuming a bunch of contradictory things, but he even says normally when a sanctioning org grants an exception it is due to a fighter choosing to defend a different orgs mando or a unification fight.

Either way I happen to be well versed on the matter & the actions of the ibf back that up. Canelo was negotiating in good faith with Deryev,he priced himself out & the IBF stripped canelo. He had no idea Andrade was for sure on the table because Andrade fought much later than Canelo & the dumbass Ibf started proceedings leading up to canelo getting stripped before Andrade faced Suleki.

When they grant an exception its BEFORE the order is made for a mando,what the writer in the article fails to realize is that they contradicted the quote from the Ibf rep after they said Canelo could make a request,when Canelo postponed the purse bid the ibf ordered (in order to negotiate with Deryev) he automatically was going to get stripped if he couldn't come to an agreement with Deryev. Thats literally why the IBF is trash & why many greats like Manny/Fmj never repped that garbage ibf like the rest of the orgs.

The IBF lets some fighters benefit from procedures but not others just based on when they fought like this case. They are the org known for wanting to split the belts so fighters can't unify.
