The World Boxing Council (WBC) has demanded British authorities hand over any evidence of Dillian Whyte allegedly failing a drug test before his fight against Oscar Rivas.

It was reported last Wednesday that Whyte had "tested positive for one or more banned substances" prior to the fight, which was allowed to proceed by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC).

Whyte, who served a two-year ban from October 2012 after failing a doping test, could face a fight to save his career if he is shown to have committed a further offence.

The WBC said it had not been privy to any details of a failed test.

"The WBC has not received any notification from anyone about a positive anti-doping test allegedly yielded by Dillian Whyte in connection with last Saturday’s fight against Oscar Rivas for the WBC interim heavyweight championship.

"The WBC has requested that the BBBofC, as the local, governing entity that oversaw that fight, formally provide any available information to the WBC.

u had lennox, fury, froch, khan and parker ...along with many others...blaiming hearn and company for delaying wilder/joshua yet these fgts were in denial and had their twisted timelines and stories that matched nothing of what we saw and heard

it was pathetic and sad....and now its clear we can all see why...AJ got his heart eaten by a sloppy mexican american who was a replacement...wilder would have probably ended his career and life

He definitely wasn’t “Cleared” to fight. The wording makes it look like he is clean and that’s that. UKAD are just scared they would be sued, if and that’s a big “if” Whyte’s B-sample comes back clean, so they had to allow him to fight. So even if Whyte B-sample comes up clean they could be like “Well he can’t Sue sure for lost of earnings”

UKAD didn't make the decision that was the BBBc and in the event the B sample is the same and another hearing finds wrong doing ,the bout will be ruled a no contest but Whyte was cleared to fight this isn't even disputable. Wheather you believe he was using a banned substance or not the final ruling was to let the fight go on and that's called being cleared to fight ? lol
