Yeah, that's a better way to put it. Because of the sample B process and a fighter having a right to get that sample checked, Whyte was able to fight due to that. But UKAD hasn't yet cleared him for the positive test. They may end up doing so, but haven't yet.Comment

That wasn't why he was cleared to fight. UKAD can provisionally suspend a boxer who fails a test immediately and stop him from fighting, without the B sample being opened, if they think it's necessary.Last edited by kafkod; 07-29-2019, 02:31 PM.Comment

Don't even waste your breath. I figured Kafkod would chime in. He apparently was in that meeting. Dudes like him put their spin on things until they are proven wrong and then move on to another topic. No action was taken because of fear of liability until more facts such as the results of the "B" sample. There are numerous sources explaining it. It may have something to do with the low levels of the metabolites and that fact that the VADA test on the 15th apparently came back negative. That last statement is my opinion but the first part of my post has been verified by numerous reliable sources.Comment

They have released the VADA tests results already and how many samples were taken?Don't even waste your breath. I figured Kafkod would chime in. He apparently was in that meeting. It's more that he was allowed to fight. No one cleared him of anything. The process is continuing and can take weeks if not months. Hopefully the results of the "B"sample will be made public so there can be more clarity. The details of the fight day meeting were not made public because that is standard procedure. Those on this forum who claim intimate knowledge are full of it. From most reports their were low level metabolites of Dianabol (Metandienone) and the VADA test on the 15th supposedly came back negative. Combine this with Whyte's request for the "B" sample results and there "supposedly" (because the meeting was private) was a decision made to allow the contest to continue with the investigation ongoing. There was a lawsuit filed by footballer Mamadou Sakho in regards to a provisional suspension so the consensus is that the British Boxing board of Control was hesitant to take action without further evidence presented.
