Exactly the real problem here is the GGG contract they gave NOT the Canelo contract. He is the only one living up to his contract and driving subscribers. They gave a ****** contract to GGG who can't draw shyt because he isn't a draw without Canelo and even WORST of a draw because he is a scared bytch fighting tomato cans like Vanes and Rolls while he tries to back his way into infinite rematches with canelo. It's not Canelo's problem you signed GGG and promised him a 3rd fight and are losing money every time he fights guys like Rolls. Nothing in Canelo's contract says he has to fight GGG. They tried to force him to and now realize Canelo NOT fighting is worst case scenario and a disaster for their business. Canelo made it clear to everyone nobody tells him who to fight and when. You saw that with the WBC. If he blesses begger GGG a 3rd fight it will be when he wants to and on his terms.

What other fights could Canelo have that would help DAZN get a lot more subs?
Is Kovalev really THAT big of a fight? I mean this is Canelo, any good match up should satisfy DAZN. It is fine that they push for the GGG fight, but they shouldn't force Canelo to take it. I bet part of the reason he is pushing back is he feels they are trying to force him to do something when he believes he holds majority of the cards. He knows his value.

Charlo fight can happen. Haymon being involved is irrelevant. Canelo calls the shots so the fight would be on DAZN no questions asked. Andrade fight would be good as he could become the undisputed champ at 160...Miss me with the franchise crap.

My thing is, DAZN is also paying GGG a lot of money yet he isn't operating with the same standards. Why is it that GGG could fight anyone he wants but Canelo could only fight certain opponents? Paying GGG 15M to fight the likes of Rolls and Munguia is plain ******. Force him to take tough fights as well.

Canelo has no more right to tell GGG who he must fight than DAZN has to tell Canelo who to fight. If GGG had won a strap Canelo still would not fight him. Look at all the rankings including ring magazine that is owned by Canelo's promoter. GGG is the number one contender to Canelo's title by Ring and everybody else. Why does the number one contender who lost by the smallest possible amount have to win a belt? Canelo had no belt when he got two shots at GGG's titles. Canelo is never going to fight him no matter how many belts he has. Canelo just won't ever fight him no matter what.

Honest question, do you think GGG should be allowed to fight Rolls/Munguia back to back in two gimme fights while getting paid 30M to do so? Let's say the Canelo fight will never happen, should DAZN also put some pressure on him to fight top competition? Or can he just pick and choose who he wants to fight for the duration of his deal?

Most boxing fans got DAZN because they signed 2 prime big stars, Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua, along with other popular fighters like GGG and they have Eddie Hearn fighters to look forward to, which includes Daniel Jacobs and Dillian Whyte if i’m not mistaken?

Okay, so in the end, still, the two big stars are Canelo and Joshua. One star, Joshua, took a big hit in his last fight, took an L. That puts him in a sort of rebuilding stage. So now they have one prime star left, whose momentum is still intact because he keeps winning and his fanbase keeps increasing. You lose him, you become just an okay app and lose 1 mill+ subs who subbed due to Canelo. Because they feel paying $100 a year is better than paying for individual Canelo PPV’s throughout the year, plus they get to see other boxers for that price.

This is of course, assuming Canelo/GBP can pay out of the contract due to DAZN’s attitude towards them. They are acting especially thirst/desperate towards Canelo now that Joshua took an L and it doesn’t seem like they want to force GGG to fight anyone with a pulse while waiting for Canelo.

DAZN is the one in charge here not Canelo. If he doesn't fight the opponents that DAZN wants then they won't pay him. He works for their platform. Canelo has to understand that he has a family to feed.

They are his boss and he is their employee and if he doesn't do what he's told then they will have to fire his ass plain and simple. So it's either Canelo shape up or ship the fuck out! It's his choice!

You can't make a Mexican do anything. Canelo has all the cards in his hand and will make money under any platform. DAZN trying to corner him is only gonna backfire... And I can't wait to see DAZN crumble without him. I think it's time for Nelo to take other offers.

Maybe you forgot Canelo tried to fight Munguia. GGG took one cherry pick in Rolls. Canelo also took a cherry pick in Fielding who was an even bigger cherry pick than Rolls. At least Rolls was undefeated and would probably beat Fielding who Smith KOed faster than Canelo did. Wait and see who GGG fights next instead of saying it will be another Rolls in advance.

DAZN not f#cking around. And I suppose they shouldn't be. The GGG vs Canelo III fight is one of the biggest fights in boxing & its the biggest fight DAZN can make right now so they should make it. And they should keep making big fights if they wanna stay in business as a new player.

The Kovalev fight is a big fight since it’s Canelo moving up a weight class. Kovalev has been around longer than any of these other guys & has had a few PPV fights as well so he’s more known than anyone outside of GGG in terms of potential opponents.

I suppose the Charlo fight could happen but I don’t see it happening. There’s never been any serious talks of it.

The reason DAZN signed GGG was mainly for the Canelo fight in the first place. It’s why they’re trying to get Canelo to make that fight. They can’t force Canelo to make the fight but they paid him so much money to make the best fights possible. They don’t want to see him fighting Rocky Fielding level fighters again.
