RIP Maxim. My condolences to him and family.
This is why boxing is so brutal. People should never take boxing so lightly and call any fighters, low ranking or not, a "bum". Long term health is put on the line.

My condolences to his family. Sad day for boxing.

And that's the thing. I didn't even watch the fight but I shouldn't have needed to.

The referee and the trainer are fully responsible for the health of the fighters in the ring. There is no shame in stopping the fight in the event one of them realizes one of the fighters are in danger of their health.

For those who watched it, what was Maxim's condition prior to the KO?

Time for boxing to take a serious look at bringing back same day weigh ins. This will force these guys to fight closer to their natural weight.

Some boxers just can't rehydrate after losing all that weight. Taking punches to the head after that can have devastating affects on the brain.
