That’s very sad news. RIP Dadashev.

It doesn’t take too many boxing deaths caused from injury sustained in a fight to make changes to boxing.

Mancini vs Kim changed boxing from 15 to 12 rounds.

With all the brain injuries that occurred from boxing matches in the 2010s i’m surprised there hasn’t really been any changes. Maybe only in NYSAC because they went through a lawsuit and lost.

I was thinking too I wonder how he feels. I was happy he won but I definitely didn't want anyone to die. Subriel almost died himself being shot in the back multiple times. With counseling and care he should be able to continue. I'm really, really sad for Max though and his family. He had big dreams leaving Russia coming here with his family. It's horrible and this really hurts the sport too.

Absolutely. Has to be emotionally gutting to have that on your conscience.

Great point. We b^tch about ABC Groups, bs opponents, fights not getting made in a timely matter, but a man losing his life is without argument the worst part of boxing.

This sorta thing is exactly why I'm not as critical of guys quitting as most others here seem to be. This game ain't no mfing joke & the consequences of being in a fight one second too long can have dire outcomes for the boxer & his family & loved ones.

Yeah, I hope the boxing community as a whole does something for his wife and family.
