The IBF is going to strip Canelo, right?

They ordered him to begin negotiations for a mandatory title fight. He never did it and now he’s taking a break for no reason.

That would be the right thing to do. We all know they probably won't do the right thing.

I dunno, as much as people hate the IBF for getting in the way of unifications and fights we want to see, they stick to their guns when enforcing a mandatory so maybe they'll do the same here.

They will. Since he will not be fighting again until next year of the Cinco De mayo weekend in 2020. The IBF has no other choice but to strip him of that title. The very same thing they done to GGG.

Yes. They will. The IBF is the strictest sanctioning body when it comes to enforcing mandatories. I'd be very surprised if they didn't strip Canelo.

                IBF is usually pretty consistent.

They won't whore themselves to certain fighters for big money fights, this isn't the WBC we're talking about.

He should drop all those 160 Belts to be honest, they don't mean anything to him at this point in his career

They will. They have their rules and enforce it. Still weird that derevyanchenko was able to fight for a final eliminator 6 montha after his loss against jacobs.

Wasnt he also mandatory when he fought against jacobs? Why does the IBF has such a quick turnaround? Thought the different sanctioning bodies are rotating their mandtories.
