    You gotta give Alvarez credit.
That boy got no fear of challenging champs at any weight.
He fought the great MW Cotto, the outstanding Jr MW Smith and the legendary Rocky Fielding and collected all their titles.
No wonder the boy claims fear died when he was born.

call it how you want but neither side was willing to budge and the fight didnt happen, besides they are almost a decade apart so prime for prime will always be a fantasy match between those two... ggg can add all the fantasy matches to his list while canelo keeps adding names to his real resume...
by the way, did ggg disgraced him self when he lost the belt for avoiding dervyachenko ?
Neither side was willing to budge? What was GGG supposed to budge on? How long had he already waited for his mandatory shot and how many times did Canelo promise to fight him next, then break his word?

Why had Canelo never fought at 160 before? He was the WBC 160lb champion and GGG agreed to allow him a voluntary to acclimatize to the weight. What did your brave Mexican warrior do then? He dragged Amir Khan up to 155 for a weight bullying money grab .. then asked GGG to allow him yet another interim fight!

When GGG told him enough was enough, Canelo surrendered his belt then claimed he didn't want to fight for it again because the WBC was corrupt!

They are corrupt, of course, but as long as Canelo benefits from their corruption, he is more than happy to collude with it.

Canelo destroyed GolovFraud's face in both matchups & he actually fights live bodies meanwhile Golovfraud feasts on tomato cans.

when did canelo asked ggg for ****t ??? or when did he made a promise of a fight?
i might be wrong but i dont recall neither happening at all...
i remember canelo saying he was wlling to fight ggg at 155 right after he fought kirkland, and also said he was willing to fight him after the khan fight, but those are far from promises, and never had to ask gggs permision to fight anyone else... cotto did, but thats not canelo... wbc making promises to ggg is a different story... if prime ggg wanted to fight canelo he could have gone a few pounds south to make it happen, but he was never going to do it for someone like canelo...
ggg said anyone from 154 to 168, his own promoter said they will make the fight at a CW if canelo vacated, neither happened, but only canelos words should be taken as promisses, ggg gets a pass as usual...

Or he could be even better. No one brings up age when Floyd schooled Canelo... maybe Canelo also ages better and smokes old GGG with experience.

What’s any of that worth if he couldn’t even convincingly beat a 36yr old “one trick pony”? They proved over 24 rounds that there wasn’t much between a prime canelo and a past prime ggg. I mean, if it was that close, you’d have to favour ggg prime vs prime.
