the following scenario could turn out to be true.....

        1) they may have stripped the best heavyweight on the planet..... 2) the current IBF champ may not be one of the two best heavyweights on the planet..... 3) the original guy they stripped could have his hands on that title within the next 12-18 months.....

.... which would make the IBF look pretty silly in hindsight

this is their current middleweight rankings.....

        1. Derevyanchenko
        2. vacant
        3. Golovkin
        4. Szeremeta
        5. Jacobs
        6. Wojcicki
        7. Falcao
        8. Rolls
        9. Culcay
        10 Butler

there is no Andrade, Charlo, Brant, Lemieux, Sulecki.....

how can they have guys like Szeremeta and Derevyanchenko above Danny Jacobs, he just beat Derevyanchenko.....

how the hell is Steve Rolls ranked ?

was he ranked before Golovkin selected him ?

and why is he still ranked now ?

many of the relevant middleweights are not ranked..... and the relevant guys who are included, do not seem to be ranked correctly
The core problem with the IBF rankings is that they do not rank each others champions. As the WBA/WBC and WBO all bend over backwards for money and/or promoters favours, the IBF are left with very little. Promoters will pursue titles that they can manipulate. If the IBF start ranking other organisations champions, it is likely that fighters may start turning down IBF title shots, or vacating the title in favour of other more slimy organisations, which isn’t a great position to have

Wbc president says, damn, last time we tried to enforce a mandatory on Canelo that he didn't want to face, he threw a hissy fit, gave us back our belt and wouldn’t even entertain fighting for our piñata belt that we created for his fight with Chavez Jr. We don't really want to lose out on those pay days. Let's give him this pretend forever title just to keep him happy, award our mandatory challenger the actual title and everyone will be happy. The end.

There's no value in fighting on an app that very few folks still have picked up, especially if it's not Canelo.

Adams this weekend, likely a Korobov rematch as an option on the list, Sulecki is an option if he beats Andrade, and Sergey Derevyanchenko is now the next man up with a "step up or step off" battle for the IBF belt.

Willie Monroe Jr, Jeison Rosario, Chris Eubank Jr, and the likely eventual WBC/WBA/IBF 154lb champion.

Charlo fights, at most, three times a year, on platforms with significantly more reach than anything DAZN could ever dream of getting, and he's starting things off with easily 18 months to two years worth of solid fights to work through.

You act as if he's fighting on Showtime or FOX for peanuts, lol.

Crawford hawks 10-13k every time out in his own market with a he won the won in the ring but can’t get the other cowards to unify. Crawford make more than double the money too and fighting better competition so I guess u are saying he’s doing great.

Charlo is going to stuck in his own lane fighting more centenos and heilands and Adams while the best at middleweight fight on DAZN.

He could co promote with lions only on DAZN too if he was actually interested in big fights and making big money.
Omaha isn't Houston, lol; 2 million plus people live in the city proper, with basically 7 million people in the metropolitan area.

And I don't live in Japan so outside of NJPW, who gives a **** about Japan for an American viewer?

"Franchise" and "super" champions exist because boxing organisations don't actually control the sport. Canelo vs Charlo is very hard to make because of the television rights and promoters. WBC can't make Canelo fight Charlo, so they adjust to the situation by creating one more belt. All these alphabet organisations just grab money from boxers and give them belts. They don't control the matchmaking, they don't control the sport. They Just make Everything look legit.

                  Lol I said it yesterday.

Canelo does not want Charlo, to the point, that he willing to take on this BS title to avoid the fight.

This is a problem, because Canelo WON'T be the undisputed champion until he fights Charlo, neither will GGG.

While annoying, this is a great for boxing, finally a decision by the WBC that will force the elites to fight competition

These are the same ass lickers that Canelo hated for trying to make him fight GGG the 2 years he ducked him waiting for him to get older. Now these corrupt cheats are up his ass again. It's just sickening that a drug cheat can get away with it and literally fight 6 months later.

                      Wow

                      Wow...Is all I can say.

Boxing is just not the same anymore. To much bull****. Now the cheater Canelo has the WBC cheating for him just to avoid an ass whipping. Even a blind person can see through this BS.

Canelo it appears is cheater and a ***** :-)

He isn't even a champion. He was beaten clearly by GGG in the first fight and I'm not even a GGG fan. I have no respect for Golden Boy, De la Hoya, or the WBC any longer. They're clearly avoiding ass whippings. Hell, he can't even beat Demetrius Andrade. ###facts###
