Btw, in case you haven't heard yet, AJ is the betting favorite in the rematch already.
    Some 3-1 I believe.

"The terms were written into the deal ahead of the first fight at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Under that agreement, it is understood Joshua will also call the shots over the location second bout, contrary to suggestions from Ruiz, the new IBF, WBA and WBO champion."

      Compliments of Daily Mail UK
Don't bet your life on it the Daily Mail is nearly as bad as the Hearn's !

Honestly if AJ wasn't trying so hard to close the show when he dropped Ruiz he wouldn't have gotten clipped. Expect a more patient AJ in the rematch. Plus I do believe they took Ruiz lightly. These mistakes will be corrected.

If AJ avoids being stopped the judges will find a way to give him the decision. I personally don't think he can out box Ruiz but he would get the decision regardless. I also don't see Joshua getting into a slugfest with Ruiz, which is what everyone would like to see.

Question-assuming AJ doesn't get a new trainer, is it possible Ruiz does to him what Navarette just did to Dogboe and end up beating him just as badly?

How can AJ win if he can't jab effectively and gets tired after 5 rounds?

I’ve watched the fight again and the alleged temple shot wasn’t really a big shot and Josh really didn’t take that many big shots in the fight, most of those shots were slapping shots.

Something just stinks but I can’t put my fingers on it as someone who has watched Josh since his amateur days.
Joshua certainly looked out of sorts. One thing I've learned though is you can't always tell if a fighter was hit squarely or not. There was one punch to the top of Joshua's head that may have turned the tide. It certainly rung his bell. Later he was caught with a good shot squarely on the temple. My opinion is his stamina went before recovering from only several well place and hard punches.

Now they have got something big they can ride into 2020.

Just look at how Josh was acting the whole week like he knew something was up. He has never given his belts to no one during press conference, why give it to Ruiz to pose for a picture? Then Josh came out dull and lethargic jabbing with his left arm down, throwing paws, something he never does until he has established his range and has his opponents number. He doesn’t have the best chin in the world but he has a very good chin and his recovery has never been that poor in his career. He recovers after 2rds max and whilst recovering he always go back to boxing. I didn’t even see any big shot like that in the fight, even Povetkin caught Josh with like two proper big shots and he dusted them off.

I won’t be surprised if Katie Taylor’s rematch is also on the same card. The Belgium girl was on some type of steroids because no one fights like a zombie like that coming forward for 10rds without getting tired.

This is the fight that will save Hearn’s billion dollars contract with DAZN and Skipper’s job. They flipped the script, effing rogues.
It only saves Hearn's financial position if the fight is in the UK where it will fill up a stadium. The USA is not buying in to DAZN.
