The fatigue could be explained by the concussion received in the third, as its a common symptom depending on the type of concussion received.

As for the jab - for sure, that needs to go out like a piston and not a feather tickler, else the fight likely end up the same.

Exactly! Literally just seen this with Issac Dogboe! Was forced into that rematch because Bob Arum and ESPN thought they had a STAR in Dogboe. They assumed that Navarratte win was a Fluke I guess and in the rematch Navarratte punished him and beat him even more convincingly and now I think Dogboe is done and will never be the same

Well, I think you said it yesterday that the smart, rational thing to do is reset and rebuild with a new trainer, but he clearly does not have time to do that. The rematch is set in 4-5 months. You cannot switch trainers and hope for a positive result in that short of time, I don't think. It would not surprise me at all if (as others have suggested) the rematch gets delayed due to a phony AJ injury to give him more time though.

I believe that a big part of AJ's poor performance was due to nerves, so fighting back home might help, but now his career is truly on the line, so maybe the nerves will be even worse?? The other major issue to me is his size. His body is not built for a fast-paced fight (his bulk depletes his oxygen too quickly, it seems), so he's going to gas out again if Ruiz pushes him again. Lots of people have said for a while now that he needs to lose that bulk to improve his stamina. No more than 235lbs. If I was on his team, that would be my #1 priority. He's got skills, he just needs the right body for this stuff. He needs Wilder Legs maybe.

He’s getting brutally knocked out in the rematch because he’s gonna get desperate if he can’t get inside and it’s going to be an uppercut.

I dont think AJ will be as careless next time. I think he wins the rematch by decesion, but its going to be a close fight. maybe a few kd's by both.

If I'm wrong, then Andy deserves all praises, once again!

Both of those guys will be tailor made for Deontay Wilder's equalizing right hand. For one, Deontay Wilder has pretty fast hands himself and two, they both like to eat punches while standing erect and lastly neither guy bobs or weave or move their heads; Which would be a recipe of disaster for them against the "Bronze Bomber".

I think the opposite. The rematch does better financially if done in the UK as it will fill a stadium there. I would agree with you about it doing better in the USA if it was PPV and not DAZN. My opinion of DAZN is they are not going to be big in America.

Yeah, I really want Ruiz to make a good run of it, but I'm having a hard time imagining a way that he beats Wilder over 12 rounds. Ruiz' got a great beard, it seems, but so does Wilder, so I think Ruiz would just eat too much leather and get hospitalized by the end of it. Style and size-wise, I think Ruiz would struggle greatly with Fury too. I'd still root for him in both fights though.

If it’s held in the UK, it will only benefit Skysports. Matchroom has moved most of its operations to the US and DAZN gave Hearn $1billion and he has to deliver.

The pressure is on Hearn to deliver, especially now that De La Hoya has delivered with Canelo and he has at least two more big fights. Time is ticking for Hearn, hence he rushed Josh to the US.

Truth be told, all Matchroom’s bouts in the US thus far have performed woefully. He needs Josh to save him.

DAZN has a target they’re trying to meet with subscription this year and I remember Skipper saying they’re still far off earlier this year.

I believe they thought the Wilder fight will happen this year, hence they made Josh take the MSG fight to get his feet wet before fighting Wilder. But Wilder signing contracts to fight Ortiz and Fury put a spanner in the plan. So they need something to get things back on track.

I remember Josh said he hopes the network is happy during his post fight interview.
