Ortiz knocked Jennings out the same year Wlad took him 12.

Ortiz also beat Hammer and Scott, who are not killers by any means, but much better than the likes of Dimitrenko or Johnson or Liakhovic, which were the best names on Ruiz's resume before last night.

      No, Fury does.

Beating a 10 year reigning champ that dominated an entire era is still a better win. Not to mention Fury should have a win over Wilder

Andy Ruiz has an excellent win, but beating a super champ in Wlad like Fury did was better.

Joshua’s best achievement was going life and death with a 41 year old inactive Wlad. He was never a super champ or clear no.1 like Wlad. Plenty of people never even rated AJ as the no.1 even before last night.

When Fury beat Wlad, there was no dis*****g that Wlad was the man.

Yes but none of them is better than Joshua.

Ortiz must beat Wilder to get on this level.

Yeah he deserves full credit, showed a lot of quality. I don't see him as some random who got lucky, he was the better fighter and even if he can't go on to beat Wilder/Fury he is gonna be another huge problem for AJ next time

All I can say is that Ruiz fought the perfect fight last night, he saw what was happening and took the advantage, it's his time right now and now he also has the lime light to show us what he is capable of doing at the top level now!

If Ruiz backs up the Joshua win with another win over Joshua or another top heavyweight, I will agree that he is better than Ortiz.

But right now Ruiz is just a guy with one great win. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ortiz has proven over an extended sample size that he is indeed at least one of the four or five best active heavyweights.

Ortiz has proven nothing. His resume is hardly on Kownacki`s level. Kownacki beat Martin, Washington and Szpilka.

Ortiz is barely tested on elite level. I can`t count a KO loss as a success.

Honestly I don't know, I still can't believe he beat AJ. I may need to see a rematch to feel more confident of where Ruiz truly stands in the division, aside from technically owning three portions of the heavyweight championship.

The only reason I didnīt vote for Ruiz to win is because of the massive size disadvantage, otherwise he would be the most feared HW at the moment.

He beat Bryant Jennings, Christian Hammer, Malik Scott, and Tony Thompson. He also knocked out Lateef Koyode but it was vacated due to a failed drug test.

That's five decent wins and the performance against Wilder, which was his only loss.

That Joe Parker loss looms large on Ruiz's resume.
