No, I disagree. The real scumbag here is Andy Ruiz, Jr if he doesn't give Anthony Joshua a rematch.

AJ didn't owe him that but he gave him a title shot anyway. So in return, Ruiz should in kind give Joshua a chance to win his titles back too.

I still say that it is a bit premature to determine or not whether he is just bluffing.

... it depends on the "rematch clause" in the contract... basically, Ruiz may be asked to fulfill some "mandatory" by some sanctioning body and he may go for that... (I don't think that an immediate "rematch clause" in a contract might trump a "mandatory"...)

Its not all bad for AJ. It depends if they think this really was a fluke or if Ruiz is a bad style match up and has his number. Ruiz had an easy time landing this fight with short compact punches and fast hands for a fat guy. He could easily get past AJ's guard. Also depends if they think Ruiz will come in better shape next time and improved or if he will go out, party, and come in sloppy and fatter next time.

If AJ lost back to back to Ruiz, his career is in the toilet, if they think its a high risk, they could save face by letting someone else beat him. If AJ lost to wilder or Fury, he atleast saves face and also makes a ton of money doing it.

Yeah. If there's a rematch and Andy wins again, AJ should get that gender reassignment operation ASAP.

Wilder will do what AJ should have done. The marketing would be insane.

If AJ refuse to fight DW, we will know who the real poosey is. If DW fails to defend against AJ, he could get stripped. Another poosey move. I don't think either guy are pooseys.

It doesnt and this is where ABC orgs are able to play their ****** games. For popular fighters, they bend over backwards. If they dont like someone, they can try to take away their belt.

If they want to say an AJ rematch wont count as a mandatory title defense and Ruiz needs to fight some bum they have as their number 1, they can do that. They are basically self regulating entitys. Its a joke.

I wouldnt mind that outcome really. DW would be talking so much chit, it would market itself practically and AJ normally being calm and collected would be so humiliated he would be legit pissed at DW, there would be real bad blood there and he would be training like mad. The fight would HAVE to be made at that point.

If AJ beats Ruiz in a rematch, which he certainly could, he dropped him in the 3rd, he really just needs to tighten his defense and spar with guys of a similar style, then he could just go back to fighting cans and the AJ-Wilder fight never happens or happens 5 years too late.

DW's trash talking could be PPV level

I can't even comprehend AJ losing to Andy again. My brain refuses to.

If the WBO insist on their mandatory, Ruiz would have to vacate to rematch AJ and Whyte v Usyk for the WBO might be a possibility.

Parker is a questionable celeb in his own home town. He's a nobody in boxing.

I'm not sold of Andy being the 2nd or 7th coming. I hope he honors the clause so AJ can set things straight.
