    Ruiz has broken Joshua.

You could see in his body language that Joshua knew the end was coming after the first knockdown.

Joshua will never be the same fighter again, mark my words.

I've been saying for a while Joshua's recovery is the problem.

With him being that muscular it's a lot harder for him to recover. You can look at Klitschko early and see the same pattern.

I had a sneaky su****ion this was going to a bad night him when I heard his weight also. Huge heavy muscles is a recipe for disaster when it comes to recovery.

And for the life of me I can't figure out why he was giving so much ground to Ruiz. He gave little resistance and Ruiz got more and more confident because he saw him backing up the whole fight.

With Joshua potentially out of the picture, and definitely out of the picture for creating the next super fight, it makes the HW division that much more lacking.

What the fanboys needed, was a crowning Wilder win over Joshua in the ring, as justification of their petty ‘supremacy’. The same for Hearn fanboys.

Now that can’t happen. The super fight is gone, and what remains in the HW division, is not a lot
Yeah the super fight is gone but everyone was saying that the division lacked depth. Tonight's result just elevated Parker and Whyte. Parker arguably beat Ruiz and Whyte went life and death with Parker. Parker could have had him out of there with another round.

So yeah, although the division is not lit like LW, WW and LHW it does have intrigue and quite a few watchable matchups between any of Fury/Wilder/Joshua/Ortiz/Ruiz/Whyte and Parker - and then you have Usyk coming in - I could see him being a bad matchup for Ruiz if he has a hw chin - better boxer, similar size.
        Plus Yoka, Dubois/Gorman and Joyce

they just need to make the fights quicker - far too long in between fights.

or the left hook that dropped ruiz would also end wilder......we have seen wilder get dropped and hurt numerous times as well......be very carefull about hyping up wilder because as i said the top 3 can be dropped and hurt and if you underestimate your opponent thats a recipe for disaster as we saw last night.
We will see all i know is alot of the hype has now gone for the wilder joshua fight and its not a good sign for the heavyweight storyline

no i don't belive that personally.....we could say that about lennox lewis as well.
Bad preparation , fighter he was not preparing for in ruiz , physical appearance of ruiz and overlooking his opponent.
The rematch will define joshua as a fighter in my opinion

If Joshua was that hurt for 4 rounds, then his recovery is a MAJOR issue.
thats what i'm thinking - he wasn't throwing out the jab and he was backing up - what happened to him? If you can't even get your jab out and working without being countered you are in deep *****. Then after the 1st KD he looked 'off' from there onwards - maybe concussed. We all know a ten-year younger Klitschko would have finished off AJ after that KD. But Joshua took 2 rounds to recover. Last night he seemed to need longer to recover. Hope he got a catscan.

When Josh dropped Ruiz I thought that might be the beginning of the end. After Ruiz got up, Josh hit him with a HARD hook that barely even moved Ruiz and I thought that those two things together would likely make Ruiz feel unbeatable.

No, it is not that simple, we have a new guy in town, Ruiz. If Ruiz jr. beats Joshua in a rematch also, he is clearly N.1.

Well, even if he loses, Wilder fight is still there for him, they are both with Haymon.
