But oh man, does Eddie Hearn deserve this. Such conceit and arrogance. And British fans lap it all up, pretending AJ was some god that Deontay Wilder oughta be on his knees, thankful for the opportunity to fight. They got conned by a two-bit promoter who has been outmaneuvered every step of the way on his US takeover. And that manifested in the ring tonight: the US debut of his biggest moneymaker ended in a loss to a fighter who is aligned with the man Hearn wanted to wrest US control from. Funny world we live in.
I wouldn’t be soo quick to sing ‘ding dong the witch is dead’, I’m no fan of Hearn, but this could still all turn around and actually pay off for him. The rematch is gonna do huge numbers in Mexico and sign up a heap of Latino’s on DAZN. IF, AJ turns up in his back yard with some new found inspiration he could snatch those belts back and he would have gained a lot of ‘eye’s on’ in the process.

There is one other scenario of course. The only way I see the Ruiz rematch not happening is if Haymon hangs out Wilder for sacrifice for a mega money deal. I know everyone on here thinks the guys is unbeatable, but...just saying. Haymons a stats man, the negotiations are gonna be very interesting, he’d trade 3 belts for 1 every day of the week with a Mexican audience at stake.

Let’s not forget AJ did actually sit Ruiz down for the first time in his career, this is the HW’s he could do it again. That won’t escape Haymon either.

All I am saying is the guys isn’t 45, he might just completely freshen up his team and get his focus and win this back and all the smug comments gonna look pretty silly. I’m holding back for the rematch or the Haymon hand of god to move before I call it.

I can’t speak for Haymon haters or fanboys. But it’s a loss for both of them. Sure a short term win for PBC biased people, but in the long term, it actually takes a lot away from them.

With Joshua potentially out of the picture, and definitely out of the picture for creating the next super fight, it makes the HW division that much more lacking.

What the fanboys needed, was a crowning Wilder win over Joshua in the ring, as justification of their petty ‘supremacy’. The same for Hearn fanboys.

Now that can’t happen. The super fight is gone, and what remains in the HW division, is not a lot

Joshua dropped ruiz and tried to finish him but got caught in the process, that doesn't say much cus it happens.. Joshua only got caught when he started exchanging on the inside with ruiz

Josh got caught in the third round, then looked out of his element for the next three rounds before getting "caught" a couple more times

If Joshua was that hurt for 4 rounds, then his recovery is a MAJOR issue.

Joshua was not prepared for the fight Ruiz brought to him...Ruiz is technically sound and a fast combination puncher....all the stars pointed to Joshua losing tonight from the moment miller failed a drug test.....i’ll Wait till the rematch before I confine Joshua to the scrap heap....this is what happens when success and hype overtake your desire to win....rematch will be huge in the uk and good story to see it on.
Heavyweight boxing throws curveballs once a while , did it with Louis , Ali , Tyson , Morrison , Lewis , klitchcko só it’s not unusual..joshua will come back and win the rematch

A bad chin can’t be fixed or taught to be better... Joshua has been exposed to have a weak chin. None of those lunches even landed very flush. He simply has no legs to compete and wilder would put him out cold with the way he followed Andy around the ribs and backed up in a straight line he’s had all the same flaws but none of the competition to expose it. Fury would stop aj... let’s be real. The hype train has come to a screaming vault.

Correction... Joshua got caught anytime he tried to engage with Ruiz. Ruiz countered like god damn Canelo in there. Aj is trash and we’ve all seen it now. Idk what’s up with brits and their chins but it seems to be a pattern...

yeah but I boxed and caught behind the ear one time and my legs went all bambi and stayed with me for over an hour...my chin is rock solid but that temple is pretty tender and weak if caught right...plus a big part of it is Joshua maybe not having the mental preparation to fight through it seeing as Ruiz was a late replacement and massive underdog ...echoes of Tyson and Lewis fights when they lost.
Your wise enough to know heavyweight boxing is unpredictable...let’s see what happens in the rematch 1st
