With Joshua potentially out of the picture, and definitely out of the picture for creating the next super fight, it makes the HW division that much more lacking.

What the fanboys needed, was a crowning Wilder win over Joshua in the ring, as justification of their petty ‘supremacy’. The same for Hearn fanboys.

Now that can’t happen. The super fight is gone, and what remains in the HW division, is not a lot
The “superfight” isn’t gone. This simply makes the Wilder-Fury rematch for the “undisputed” heavyweight championship because they’re now clearly the top two guys.

Always respect your opponents no matter how weak and vulnerable you think they might be. Joshua will have to go back to the drawing board and prove to us that he is indeed a champ if he can bounce back from this. I wouldn’t write him off yet. He obviously underestimated Ruiz and thought he could just steamrolled him, but hopefully he learned from this loss and stay focus and have a better preparation for the rematch. One thing he can’t fix is his chin and he needs to learn how to hold and not get into exchanges when he’s hurt.

Well, Wlad had chin issues early and developed a style to cover for it, but I don't think Joshua has the discipline to 'do a Wlad.

I suspect Joshua will be a bit different boxing at home in the rematch, and that might make the diffetence, but for me, Joshua will always be one punch away from adversity without the mental tools to recover.

Can you imagine if this all went to Ruiz's head and he comes into his next fight cut like Tyson ? (Mike, not Fury)

All the top heavyweights are vulnerable so it’s gamble either way...one thing I will say is Ruiz is tough and skilled heavyweight who is very deceptive because his size and shape but if he caught fury or wilder in close we would see the same thing happen....fair play to Ruiz though

The end came quicker for Kovalev.

Joshua got dropped 4 times... Getting hit on virtually the same spot. It also looked like he accepted defeat way too easily.

Plus, Kovalev had quite a bit of success against Alvarez in the first fight.

Other than the flash KD, Joshua was being outboxed and out timed.

                Two different scenarios.

If I was Joshua I would not fight Ruiz immediately.

Hearn is full of s.hit. This wasn’t a mental lapse by AJ. AJ got beat up and disposed of. And seconds prior to the counter hook that had him on ***** street in the third, he was hit with the exact same punch. AJ didn’t get sloppy. AJ has a low boxing IQ.

As for him never recovering after the rough third. Ruiz did next to nothing in the forth and fifth rounds. That’s plenty of time to recover. AJ did the same thing in the Wladimir fight after being hurt himself in the fifth after dropping Wlad. And he didn’t “recover” for several rounds. There’s only three logical explanations as to why AJ has such a hard time recovering in fights after being buzzed. One, he has an undisclosed health issue that we don’t know about. Two, he has an undiagnosed medical condition that he doesn’t know about. Or three, he’s a mental midget that falls apart when faced with adversity.

Fury chin is suspect but he can cover it up with being athletic. AJ chin is fully exposed yet hes non athletic so can't hide.i remember a debate I got into about it AJ could beat Rico verhoven or badr Hari in a fight I said depends on what the rules are and even in boxing I give those kickboxing champs a good chance cause AJ chin my point kinda proven for fury and wilder would've handled Ruiz. Fury with athleticism to move out the way and wilder no withstand wilder power but weird boxing style
You need to re-think your dope-fuelled babbling nonsense. I know it's part made in jest but the basis isn't there. I can't even be bothered to look for Brit fighters with a good chin but anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that you can't have a whole race or whole country full of boxers with weak chins or strong chins.

When a fighter goes down but gets back up and boxes strong then I'd argue he has a strong chin. Andy Ruiz went down last night from a quite heavy punch but got back up and fought back.

Fury was put down by a monster punch in the 12th round (although not Wilder's strongest punch) and got back up and actually was backing Wilder up at the end of the 12th.

When a fighter like Khan gets buzzed and is on bambi legs then that's a weak chin. It looks like Joshua has more in common with Khan than Fury. He was concussed by the first KD and looked like he stayed concussed for the rest of the fight. Thats a weak chin.

Scotland hasn't hot it's independence yet so they are still Brits for the meantime. Josh Taylor showed a hell of a chin against Baranchyk just a week ago. Warrington has a good chin too.

He would have to catch Wilder very early. Because if that’s Wilder that caught him with the shot AJ dropped him with. He might still be sleep as we speak. Or at the very least need a day or two to remember his name.
