I'm sorry but Joshua got exposed big time.Exposed? Joshua was stopped, not exposed. Big difference. Geez, it's like a fighter these days has a bunch of little jackals running under his heels taunting and whining. I had doubts too whether or not Joshua would be last man standing amongst the HWs. But I never thought he was a phony. We'll see what happens in the rematch, and we'll see from the next few fights just how good Ruiz is.
And equally importantly, we saw Ruiz humble in victory, and Joshua humble in defeat. Two true sportsmen. Yet Wilder calls Joshua a bum afterwards. So THERE will likely be the real pretender. Tell me again Wilder how you actually think you'll get by all 3... Ortiz, Fury, Ruiz. Then Joshua. I don't see it.
We may get belts switching hands as much as we did back in the 80s/90s, or we could find out who the real king of HWs is within the next year or two. Bottom line, this could turn out to be another golden age for the division, and we fans are the winners in all this. I for one am really looking forward to the next few years.
His stamina got exposed. And now we know he's extremely vulnerable to a temple shot.
It's been building since the Takam fight. He's vulnerable to any kind of counters. It's like he's constantly out of position when landing his own punches.
He didn't just get stopped. He got dropped 4 times and outboxed. Every time we've seen a HW lose like this it came fast and out of nowhere. Joshua got beat almost the entire fight.
This is the equivalent of Buster Douglas showing that once you get passed the initial Tyson onslaught he will eventually break down mentally.
Ruiz showed that if you can counter Joshua effectively, neutalize his right, aim for the temple and IF you can drop him, he will take forever to recover.Comment

Now that was a very upsetting thing to say...if 'yall' is not in the Cambridge Dictionary you should never use it Sir!Comment

Cong**** to Mexico. 1st HW world champ is today's headline. More Mexicans in higher weight classes is good. Tough!Comment

Yeah, I'm kind of with you on this. To be honest, none of these guys has ever really moved the needle for me. AJ seems too manufactured in terms of personality and career, Wilder is incredibly powerful and could KO anyone but he's not particularly polished - either his personality or his style. Fury talks a mean game but he is light punching and can't make a compelling fight on his own.I am not a Wilder fan. This guy is just so random and moronic. A loss does not mean you are a fraud anymore than him losing means he was ducking. Kicking someone when they are down is not wise business.
I think Wilder is must watch boxing. I honestly do. Exciting, totally different from any boxer out there, and dangerous. I just think I am of the opinion he is a crap person.
I'm hoping Ajagba is the real deal because I find him alot more interesting than Fury, Wilder or AJ.Comment

Joshua was exposed. Each time Ruiz hurt him it was always during the exchanges. Andy proved to have much faster hands than AJ.
Each time Anthony attempted to mount an offensive; Ruiz would counter and hurt him and then subsequently drop him him to the canvas. Then during that last knocked down AJ appeared spent, defeated and broken.
He spit out his mouthpiece, got up, went to a neutral corner, looked around and he was done. The referee called the fight.
It was a good fight but Ruiz won.Comment
