For the blokes who have nothing better to say other than Wilder not getting $100M. When was he going to get it when $80M that was for Joshua who after tonight likely wouldn't want to face Wilder until late 2020 at best. Where would that have left Wilder? Stuck on DAZN?

After the Martin fight, I got bashed for saying AJs muscles made him gas really quickly. Anyways, not saying I predicted, but I'm not surprised. AJ has never been that active with his jab and that was the key against a shorter guy with faster hands.
This fight and the Wilder ko actually had me yelling out of pure excitement! Got to love the theatre of the unexpected!

So I have to work. I keep my sports updates on phone for when I get ahead of my job duties. I pull out my device and scrolled through the notifications. I see Anthony Joshua" and "Knock out" and shrug my shoulders as that is what we all expected. As I set my phone back, it slowly dawns on me what I just read.
As I peeled my jaw off the ground, I slowly go from shock and awe to fairly pumped and giddy. I mean, who doesn't love a good upset when you do not have a dog in the fight?
I respected Ruiz. I NEVER would have picked him. Ever. like... EVER. What an upset.

Either way a potential opportunity missed for both Joshua and Wilder, money wise. We will see what happens going forward - I don't think it was ever going to sell like most wanted it to, but it still would have done pretty well.
This result probably makes Wilder-Fury bigger if they both win. I wouldn't sleep on Ortiz vs Wilder though. Wish that wasn't on PPV, I would like to see that one.
