Comments Thread For: Joshua: Wilder Doesn't Want Me Next; Can Get It When He's Ready

Based on what he has heard from Deontay Wilder lately, Anthony Joshua doesn't expect their much-discussed heavyweight title unification fight to finally happen in the near future. Joshua said during a conference call that he anticipates making a mandatory defense of one of his titles later this year, assuming he defeats Andy Ruiz on June 1 at Madison Square Garden. Wilder made a mandatory defense of his WBC title by knocking out Dominic Breazeale in the first round Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

If Wilder loses to Fury in a rematch, and most say he already lost the first one, then a Joshua-Wilder fight loses it's allure. Then it's Fury vs Joshua that is the big fight. But these fights are in the distant future sadly.

Wilder isn’t an ambitious man, he has been carried and pampered by massa Finkle and Uncle Tom Al Haymon, there is a reason he has never been in a unification fight since he captured the wbc belt... he says one name, one face but always contracdict himself, first he says AJ is begging to fight him, in same breadth he says, AJ don’t want the fight...at least AJ is saying one thing, he wants the fight...Wilder is a fraud and an American big joke!

By George, I think this kid finally gets it. It's time to move on now with your career. Wilder, doesn't want you anymore. So go back before your sell out capacity crowds at Principality Stadium and Wembley by fighting more Euro bums in Great Britain.

I’m calling it right now one of them is going to get KTFO messing up their huge payday.

If wilder was smart he would fight Joshua 1st being that he will make more money then fight fury. fury is risky because he arguably lost to him allready but the chances of him getting knocked out by fury is no where near as high as Joshua.

I think wilders handlers think they have a mayweather vs pacquiao level fight where people will pay top dollar even if Deontay loses to someone else then fight Joshua but they will be sadly mistaken.

There is some gamble to Wilder's strategy but if he beats Ortiz and Fury then he increases his Q rating and his leverage when it comes down to the fight with AJ. I don't think Ortiz has much left in the tank and I suspect Wilder will spark him out with less trouble than the first bout. As for Fury, I lean Wilder in the rematch. Fury can outbox him but he has to be damn near perfect for 36 minutes and I suspect Wilder will be able to time his movement better now that he's faced him once.

This all being said, it's not a gimme he wins both but it's a gamble Deontay seems to be willing to take. None of these guys are afraid of each other, it's all about how they and their teams feel it's best to maximize their leverage for the fights.

Ajoke the slave boy has female tendecies, this is the type of stuff women do. Lol. Tell your masta to give him a free agent contract, 60/ 40 split for the victor with a rematch clause set for Showtime. Wilder is not a slave, slave boy.
