I am defending Ortiz getting slammed by the same people who called him the boogyman and then claimed Wilder was saved by the refs..

That was more than a year ago and he has looked average since against lower level opposition.

Luis Ortiz has had questions about his age since his amateur days.

        Nonetheless, back on track...

This fight is a waste of time. No one wanted it, and the only people defending it, are doing it because they feel like they have to protect their hill.

I would call Ortiz a pointless fight for wilder as he gets nothing from it really. He’s fighting an older man than the first fight and therefore should win far more comfortably.

Not really much else to say? If Whyte, fury or Joshua would be against him I would still say it’s a worthwhile fight given they haven’t fought yet but they would be overwhelming favourites

Boxing skill wise Ortiz is still better than Wilder. Even in his old age and off the juice. But Wilder should knock him out pretty easily. He was getting tagged with straight right hands by Christian Hammer. Unfortunately it seems those ancient reflexes are beginning to fail him.

Can anyone prove it? Nope. Finding Cuban birth certificates can be harder than finding a needle in a haystack - there's a chance it doesn't even exist. Will people continue to speculate? Absolutely. I'm on the side that believes there's a strong chance he's lying about his age - Cuba is probably one of the top 2 South American countries notorious for athletes lying about their age (that and the Dominican), and Ortiz doesn't pass the smell test. Oh well.

You're right though - Heavyweight boxing is struggling for legit names.

I guess it’s better than the Brezeales and the other bums he’s been fighting but i will be catching the replay.

I watched the brezeale fight with my dad and he was dumbfounded when I told em that wilder is the HW champion lol.

Ortiz didn't start getting dropped by David Price level opponents when he was busted & he kept his power unlike Pedvetkin.

Pedvetkin's resume & performances have been trash, you can't even name an impressive performance or a single top 5 fighter he has beaten since like 2008 in Chambers who was going life and death with guys like Brock.
