From its parent company CBS my friend. If you didn't know by now they have very deep pockets. CBS increased Showtime's budget to pay Deontay Wilder his $10mil guarantee. As Wilder gets more popular they just may want to enter into a separate contract with him like they did Money Mayweather, Jr.Comment

So you think the promoters say "we've made the exact amount of money that we need, let's not bother making any more"?I am not dis*****g the fact, that all of the 13,000 people who attended the event paid to get in. Sure there were several tickets that were given away.
I don't know the exact amount but all promoters give away tickets when they are given licensing fees from a platform to pay their fighter's guarantee on a non pay per view event.
They don't have to aggressively go out and sell tickets because in the U.S. Fighters get most of their money from television anyhow.
Oscar did likewise, he gave a lot of complimentaries away on Cinco De Mayo weekend for the Canelo/Jacobs fight. You had practically the same amount of people who attended that event who attended the Canelo/GGG II match but it generated far less revenue this time with just $9mil as opposed to the $24mil the gate generated in the previous Canelo appearance at the T-Mobile a year ago.
Those tickets were sold last year but this time since Canelo's $40 mil purse was already guaranteed by DAZN; So therefore, GBP didn't feel the need to aggressively go out and sell those tickets to generate enough revenue at the gate because they didn't need to. Therefore, they just gave a lot of those tickets away.Comment

No, that's not it at all. Let's just say if an event is like 2 weeks away and you still have more than 3000 tickets left to sell. So what do you do? You give about more than half of them away as comps and you just have to cut your losses with the other half by slashing the prices.Comment

pbc has given away 4-6k tickets several times. Usually Haymon buys them then gives them away to inflate the gate. Wilder fury is a great example. Then share the contact point.
The email, the phone number, the address for your letter, whatever.
If you walked into the offices of the New York State Athletic Commission as 'John Q Public' and they simply gave you the information, say that.
Wilder-Breazeale was 7 days ago, other folks are already doubting the speed with which you were able to get said information, and I'm calling bull****.
The attendance number was said to be clearly over 13000 people, so to argue that anywhere near 6000 tickets were given away makes your claim even more bull****Comment
