Maybe he should’ve been given a chance instead of a twitchy ref gettin caught up

What are you talking about? He was on his knees at the 10 count. Being on your knees doesn't count as beating the count, you have to be standing.

            Ok i get it
Just thought you were comparing the count in itself
            That was my curiosity
Do you believe a British judge would of waved it off immediately without a count
            Just curious here

A lot of his opponents act like they've been shot after that right hand. What a beast.

Couldn't he say he slipped coz he sure as hell didn't beat the count. Heck, back in the 70s, Breazeale wouldn't even be top 50. He'd struggle to get a sniff in the 90s as well. Borderline garbage hw fighter.

Think he was up in time, but he would have got hurt badly as he was still in Lala land

Both the Fury and Breazeale fight would have been waved off here, especially if the fighter that landed that punch was British.

I think it depends on too many things (weight, reputation of the KO-er and the KO'd, how much of a beating they'd been taking), and the balls or IQ of the ref, to say that about British refs wave off fights early across the board.

I would say there's many American refs who call break way too quickly, whereas British refs seem to let them punch it out. And most of the compilations of bad (i.e. way too late) stoppages I've seen have been American refs. But I wouldn't like to generalise and say it's a British or American thing necessarily.

I don't think any ref would have been criticised tonight for stopping the count on Breazeale, given he received the hit from Wilder, who is clearly a monster puncher. Personally I appreciate he gave him the full count, because he wasn't out cold (well apart from on his way down), and it's a title fight, and it was the first round, so it's not like he'd been battered for 10 rounds already.
