It cuts out the guy ranked #2 and forces him to fight 2 fights when he should be in the title fight now that the title has been vacated.

It also puts Campbell in with a guy he has no chance to beat rather than a an opponent that he has about a 55/45 chance to beat that would be a better fight for fans to watch than a blowout.

Just my opinion.

I don't think teo is getting a shot anytime soon. He might as well move up already. When commey comes back from his injury he's gonna get a voluntary defense first. By the time teo gets a shot at him he'll have either out grown 135 or commey will choose unification over fighting him. There's no real upside from commey's perspective in fighting Lopez. He can lose just as easy as fighting Loma but gains nothing. If he fights Loma he gets a bigger payday and a shot at all the belts. Plus Loma is probably gonna vacate everything after he unifies 135 and go back to 130 to unify there. He'll probably start by asking the wba to order tank to fight him. I could b wrong tho, just my opinion

That's my concern! If Loma has the right to say, "I'm not fighting Lopez until he gets a belt," then why can't Commey have the same attitude? The IBF can order negotiations to start 90 days after Teo wins, but Commey can still tell the IBF that he wants to unify with Loma! Now if DiBella is onboard with this, we can have hope!

Whatever the reason is, this is a better scenario than having weak and paper champs. At least Campbell would be legit champ for sure if he beats Loma.

I think it's just a pressure move by arum. He's just trying to force commey to fight Loma sooner than later. He doesn't want commey to try and babysit the belt so he's putting pressure by threatening him with Lopez. I don't really think he has plans for Loma and Lopez to fight. He wants 2 separate stars. He's got the best in lightweight, arguably the best fighter in welterweight, and now he'll have a beast in 140. Plus I think Lopez will eventually move to welterweight (if he does good at 140) around the time Crawford is aging out and I think he plans a pass the torch kinda thing there.

I think you're 100% correct! I'm not impressed with Ramirez! I think Prograis stops him in 8! Teofimo will be a beast @ 140 for 2-3 years! I just wish Loma was fighting Lopez next, instead of Campbell! That would be ideal for Teofimo Lopez! 140 is going to be loaded!!!

I would like to c Lopez vs Loma too but it's not that big of a deal to me cause we're gonna get some great fights with him at 140 and I actually like Loma vs Campbell. Breadman has been saying for a long time that style wise he thinks Campbell vs Loma would b an awesome fight, and I agree. I'm actually looking forward to it. Plus we'll probably get loma vs tank after Loma unifies 135 then drops back down. There's some good fights for him at 130 pls the chance to b a 2 division unified champ.

I fully expect Commey will request the Lomachenko fight and the IBF will allow unification to supersede a mandatory which they did with Crawford-Indongo. For Commey it's far more money and a dream shot at three other titles of course he'll want that and he has every right to it.

I expect Loma will fight and beat Campbell and Commey this year and then 2020 take on mandatory challengers like Lopez, Haney (if they want it) and Berchelt.
