Yeah, I like it. Cut through the BS, get one undisputed champion and all comers have to fight him if they want to be a champion. It's the way boxing should always be and well, they aren't getting rid of all the belts any time soon. The only way you get the best vs the best is one champ. This should bode well for the division.

I think you are right, Teo Lopez is already pencilled in for the IBF shot if he wins his next fight, Haney isn't in no rush according to his opinion on the ruling, the only person i feel sorry for his Zaur.

I see all this as a good thing. Davis cannot stay at 130 forever, and if he does move to 135 next year, Floyd cannot swerve Loma if he is undisputed. Then we get to see the fight we all want to see.

He could by jumping straight to 140.

Because it almost never happens. I think a more fair option would of been WBC let their 2 top contenders fight for the vacant belt and then mandate the winner to fight Loma immediately after (because his status as the best lightweight in the world should mean something). Everybody wins you force Campbell or Haney to fight Loma next. Because going this route we all know Loma is never going to fight Abdullaev, Haney or whoever the WBC grants as mandatory for a long time. Now the next top contender after Campbell is stuck waiting 1-2 maybe even longer before they get their title shot. Does seem a little unfair.

I know there's a little bit of corruption done in here, but I like this proposition better. As some other posters have mentioned, if Haney wins this one, this belt might be put to hostage ruining the possible unification of all belts. Besides, we could assume that Loma is levels above those names you mentioned - not worth the time. The only names worth mentioning as Loma's challenges are Commey and Lopez (due to hype). It may seem unfair for other contenders but I like this better because the competition in LW is low anyway. Better skip the others not worth fighting
